What are you thoughts on desijn cards? (1 Viewer)

Thank you for this. What things do you like about them?

For the Desjgn, I use the Classic Victorian.

They are thinner than Fournier but thicker than Copag or Kem. This makes them easier to shuffle, but still have a nice feel. The index size is a bit smaller than others, which works well. The looks are a bit hit or miss with some players, but the CV indices are easy enough to read. They also wear well. Overall, I like them.

Fournier-made Bicycles were my first cards, and I love the look and feel. I then purchased the 2818 series, and they are my favorite. The only gripe with Founier is that the ink fades faster than with Desjgn. I now rotate decks to mitigate that.

I’m a big fan of poker peek indexes, which J doesn’t have...yet. So from a design standpoint, not my fave, but the feel of the deck when shuffling is top for me. I use a designated dealer at my game, so that’s a big plus.

Do you know which products use which stock? Do the Baroque cards stick together like cheap paper cards from the grocery store? I just ordered the Casino cards, and I plan to try several other styles.
None of them are cheap paper, they’re all high quality plastic that don’t stick unless you get them grimy.

Love the cards, but they bow a little too easy for my taste. I prefer a little stiffer card when I shuffle.

Both times I've tried to use them in my games they get rejected almost instantly. Always the pips and the font that they seem not to like. Diamonds especially.

Great cards, just not for my gang I guess.

I won’t please everyone, but that has never been and never will be a priority. It’s impossible.

I appreciate the comments; the pros a cons and everything in between. I do not think there will be a perfect card. Design is very much subjective, but if the background in the design is discussed, I think you’ll find it intriguing and might learn/appreciate the effort. I am not here to convince or do sales pitches. I am of the philosophy that if you like Desjgns, great; if you don’t, great. Differences allow for greater appreciation and respect, when you are open to it, even if opinions do not align with your own.

Thank you for the support and discussion. I would not be doing what I am doing without it through out the 13 years of being in business.
