So my Mom picked these up in a thrift shop a few years back. Apparently she just couldn’t resist them.

What are these things?

I’m convinced she is a chipper at heart My first set of chips was a Bakelite set she bought me at a thrift shop... what mom buys their teenager poker chips?!? :D

Those look like older Mahjong tokens.

There are two versions of the game quite different from each other, but they both have in common that the players in the game pay/receive tokens after each hand. Something like open-faced Chinese poker.

No assurance that they are that old. Could be 100+ years old. More likely made more recently. Could be a little valuable, but again likely not. If you had an ivory set , , , those would be much more valuable than these mother of pearl chits.

Nice find -=- DrStrange
