Hi Everyone

Would like to hear what you chippers have to say on CPC's best molds and go to stock chips when customs isn't an option.

Look forward to hearing from you guys. :cool

I handled A mold, B mold, Scroll, DieCar, DIASQR and CSQ. I purchased the CSQ Rounders set, and love it. The brass flakes give the chips a little weight, but also a small amount of gritty texture that is great.
Cant wait to try the small crown…it’s a classic, and many here love them.

To the best of my knowledge:

A-mold: outer ring: yes, textured inlay: no

B-mold: outer ring: yes, textured inlay: yes

CSQ: outer ring: yes, textured inlay: mostly no, some light texture on some chips

DSQ: outer ring: yes, textured inlay: no

Elephant and crown: outer ring: no, textured inlay: yes

FDL mold: outer ring: no, textured inlay: no

H-mold: outer ring: no, textured inlay: 50/50ish textured or smooth

HHR: outer ring: yes, textured inlay: 50/50

Jockey: outer ring: yes, textured inlay, 50/50

Large Crown mold: outer ring: yes, textured inlay: no

Small crown: outer ring: no, textured inlay: yes

Scroll: outer ring: no, textured inlay: yes

There are some idiosyncrasies with each mold, like that only certain molds (A, CSQ, FDL, and small crown) can fit a 1 inch inlay, the rest can only accommodate 7/8 inch inlays). Each mold feels different based on whether there is an outer ring or if there's a textured inlay or not. It impacts how the chips shuffle and stack.

Your mileage and experience may vary, but in terms of feel, my favorites are B-mold, CSQ, DSQ, and Jockey in no particular order.

CSQ and DSQ just feel very balanced to me. Jockey feels most like a THC molded Paulson chip of any other mold. Small and large crown are old TRK molds that go great with any vintage design or old Vegas theme.

Customs are an option. Trust me. It's totally worth it to save your money, get samples of each mold and see how they look and feel in your hands, designing your own custom chips, submitting the order, waiting months for them to come, but once they do, youll be glad you waited. You'll be selling your stock designs if you get those first and kick yourself for spending the money when you could have put it towards your customs instead.

Case in point:

Welcome!

Love HHR, feels closest to a casino chip IMO.

Welcome!
Some absolutely stunning chips there!

Don’t forget about the 44mm A-mold and 44mm scroll mold. Either as high denoms for their corresponding 39mm molds or as all big chip sets. They’re awesome and bigger than Paulson 43mm chips.

I love my custom FDLs. They stack, sound, shuffle and feel phenomenal. I echo the others’ thoughts though, get samples and go with the mold that feels best to YOU and fits your theme if going custom, which I also recommend. It takes time, planning, lots of decisions, second guessing and worst of all, waiting, but it is worth it as soon as you open that first box and see your new babies brought to life.

For stock it’s Rounders on CSQ or Atlantic on HH, and it’s not even close imo

i think the bestselling point of CPC is fully custom and there so many molds to choose from. So there’s will be very different opinions on each mold.

Personally HHR & DieCar are my favourites while A-Mold & Scroll are my least

For the record - I don’t want any of the stock CPC chips in my eyes. That can be incredibly painful and damage your sight with long term consequences.
