Hello folks, curious what everyone’s favorite setup is. I have both the cartamundi And Fournier titanium cards, kinda like both. The Fournier’s are stiffer and little bit less flexible than the cartamundi but they’re amazing as well. Cartamundi well, speaks for itself. They are an amazing brand, can’t complain about them. Never handled KEM’s or modiano’s…
What’s everyone’s favorite cards both feel and look wise and why ?

Scooby

KEM Arrow Jumbo Index. IMO head and shoulders above the rest. Great feel.

I like them better than J Design and they get used more. IMO KEM are 10/10 and J Design are 8/10.

J Design and KEM are all I use after trying out a bunch of different setups.

You know, I just got a setup recently having avoided them because of all the threats of warping.
I agree, they are my favorite above many, many others I’ve tried. Even the edges feel like paper.
Amazing cards.

Btw OP, there’s a ton of threads on favorite cards, just check out the search.

Which Cartamundi's do you have? If it's the neighboring Belgian stock they're one of my favorite cards out there.

In no particular order, check out King Australia, desjgn, Piatnik, Belgian Copag, and NTP. Lots of these are manufactured in Europe and are likely easier for someone in Holland like yourself to get than someone else on the other side of the world. Happy hunting!

I have only had one setup of KEMS but I have had it for over a year. I keep the cards in the plastic box they came in otherwise they are in play. Maybe if you treat them badly or leave them in the sun there could be issues I don't know. Mine are still like new.

Hi ! I have the cartamundi 100% PVC cards, they’re smell is something  :ROFLMAO: But they’re among the best cards, durability is great. The Fournier titanium is brand new, received them yesterday and I have to say I like them as much if not more. They’re grippier, but they do shuffle little harder IMO. Both are high end cards

Never tried Kem @Lemonzest ! But I’m considering getting a setup of them, they’re not cheap over here. We’re talking €45 for 2 decks, but in my understanding these will last a long time.

Yeah they are expensive in Canada too. Its worth it though. Take care of them and they will last a long time. It will also save you money not having to buy lots of different cards since you won't need any other ones :)

I love the new Faded Spade 2.0's. Haven't had them in legacy Black and Red, but the 4 colour variant is excellent and really high quality. Stands up to way more abuse than any other card I've tested and the non-traditional portraits and font are welcome for me.

Appreciate the advice ! Funny avatar too, I used to watch WWE a lot back in the days when it was good :cool

Favorites? Only the ones I can't seem to find anymore.

The Fournier Congress are easily the top of the list of these, but I love the shuffleability (is that even a word?) of the Dal Negro's and the Cartamundi.

Copag WSOP 2017
Bridge Size Regular

They feel different than the normal Copag cards. Have more of a linen finish, but with the flexibility of a normal Copag (The perfect flex and bend, to me. All subjective.)

The top card doesn't slip as much as normal Copags, but everyone is in the habit of taping the top of the deck after using Copag cards normally.

The second choice is Desjgn(Old) Bridge Regular/Modiano Beehive

For me it’s got to be the Cartamundi casino-branded - perfect balance between thickness, texture and flexibility.

NO.1 KEM Crown
NO.2 KEM Arrow Bridge Regular

The correct storage method can solve the warp problem.
But the only problem is cracking like crocodile pattern .
I have 15+ sets , stored for a long time, nearly 1 / 3 have such problems.

Ever since I bought my first few decks of cards from Amazon, I found that I have a big problem now. I can't stop searching for more sets, even we can't play texas due to covid. By the way, I got 1 set of Kem, 1 set of de vacci, 3 sets of Copag(one four color set). Just order the bicycle prestige form Lithuania. Will buy king, fournier, and modiano...

Someone, please tell me to stop, lol.

So far, like all the sets I got. Kem is the easiest to shuffle, like the Copag back design a lot, de vacci got the best value... Haven't got any chance to play with my friends, can't wait! ! !

If you’re talking about storing the decks upside down in a case with a dealer button on them, I won’t disagree. I’ve been experimenting with this and so far the results are promising. But referring to that aa “the correct storage method” is misleading. It’s not like KEM recommends that.

This is my way , one cut card and one VIP card on the cards.
It works for me.

thanks for the tip. I used to use KEM’s but gave up due to them warping. Currently using Faded spades which can take a lot abuse. I may have to give KEM’s a try again with your storage technique. My favorite card design of all time was the KEM arrows before they warped.

Is there a size between regular and jumbo? I find jumbo too big and regular too small lol anyone have a particular card jumbo they know that’s not overkill?
