Were Paulson Starbursts 15 cents a piece in 2000? (1 Viewer)

I picked up a box of starburst Paulsons (TH&C) the other day and noticed some writing on the top of the box.

The writing says:

Tues 05/30/2000

80 Chips $12.00

1 Pair of Dice $1.00

Total $13.94.

Were Paulson Starbursts really 15 cents each in 2000? Or is this writing likely from a second hand source or garage sale? Does anyone remember?

Sounds very cheap. I remember most fantasy lines retailed in the range of just over $1 each i believe. ALthough that was probably a few years after 2000.

In the 90s, I think the price was 30¢/chip for starbursts, according to the old Paulson mail order ads

Likely written up by a seller at a flea market, antique shop, or estate sale and had no idea what they had.

At some point in the late 90s I recall the cheapest I saw them for was around .20

I’ve heard back 15-20 years ago, Crystal Park 1s were a few cents ea and 5000 was like $1 ea. I assume the same for starburst like a dime per chip.
