Hello all, just thought I'd finally sign up after lurking for a while.

First of all thank you to all members for the wealth of information available here. It has been a great resource for me, although I am also a little overwhelmed - which isn't a good thing when trying to make a purchase and apparently suffer from OCD.
You guys over in the USA are spoiled with options I'm keep going to order a set of Majestics or Dune CC chips from Apache - but it is an extra $100 shipping + another $100 for import costs!

I'm after a 600 set for our games (normally only 8 players, but i like the option of doing 2 tables IF the case arises - also maybe a few deep stack games here and there)

Trying to find this is driving me mad, I thought I finally found a EU re seller of nevada jacks but they are not in stock. (also they had some plastic dune copies called 'joker casino' which would have been a nice temporary option to tide us over until I either saved to import or found a nice set here in the UK)

So at the risk of turning this welcome thread into a huge rant about the lack of decent chip options in the UK I will leave it there, mainly jut wanted to say thank you and hello <3

Trying to find this is driving me mad, I thought I finally found a EU re seller of nevada jacks but they are not in stock.

I cannot vouch for this site as I have no experience buying from them, but I remembered that they sold nevada jacks when I browsed their site a few years back, which they still seem to do. When setting the quantities it seems like they have your desired numbers in stock. Whether it's the real deal or something fake I have no idea, I'll just leave the link here and let you decide what to do with it.

the hunt is still on though - and it is looking more and more likely that I will have to bite the bullet and import a set. the prices in the few EU stores I have found are not that far from import fees (I guess that makes sense... but )

No not yet, I will probably do so before buying but my budget is limited and therefor so are my options

I have always loved the Nevada Jacks "in theory", meaning I loved the pictures of them. When I finally bought some samples, I found that I didn't like the sound they make when shuffling. The sound was a bit too high pitch for my liking, and I ended up buying milanos which have a duller sound.

I'm not saying you won't like 'em (a lot of people absolutely love them), I'm just trying to convince you to remove the "probably" from

I bought several sample packs from Andrei at http://premiumpoker.eu

I recommend getting more than one sample set, since you will want to get a feel for how they shuffle, how they sound, how they stack, etc. The more you get, the less you need to extrapolate.
