Just in case anyone else is tempted, I received what looks like a phishing expedition email purportedly from TODD KELLER supposedly at mbbt@aussieisp.net.au. It reads:
-----------------------------
Hi Pltrgyst
Code:
http://ampa-iesargentona.org/newaccount.php?pair=s279pakknwvtt0m1
TODD
-----------------------------

Somehow, I'm skeptical...

Thank god you told me. I had been emailing back and forth with Todd about some business. He told me that he just had a Nigerian casino that closed and he wanted to offload the chips on a reputable site. I told him that I was game and he told me that I was going to be a millionaire since he couldn't offload all the chips himself. I couldn't believe the lucky opportunity I was given. I was getting ready to paypal F&F the deposit to him but something didn't feel right. This confirms my suspicions. Thank You.

I know @namsupak was being tongue-in-cheek, but thank you @pltrgyst for alerting us.

This is a very real danger and pltrgyst's experience is a good prompt for all of us to websurf defensively. I know most of you already know this, but always check the email addresses of emails you receive, and NEVER click on links or attachments (especially .zip files) you receive from someone you don't know. (Frankly, if I'm not expecting an email with an attachment from people I do know, I'm still suspicious until I confirm with them that they sent it to me.)

Scammers may troll this site and realize that there is a lot of buying/selling going on, and may try to exploit that by either impersonating one of us or by trying to sell a non-existent set of chips. Only deal with members you know and trust. I'd also refrain from using other member's first names in public posts, so that potential fraudsters can't get that info easily. It would be a red flag if someone you knew by name sent you a message addressed "Dear friend" or something.
