Warning Bank Fraud (1 Viewer)

What does this mean? I store passwords in a password app. You gain access to my apps? If so, how do you get the passwords from the app? Or anywhere else they are stored?
It means if you use an application that requires WiFi to log in to send data, unsecured WiFi is susceptible to having your transmitted data intercepted and stolen. So in theory someone could gain access to your passwords app, but apps/sites like that also tend to have higher level encryption to prevent things like this, otherwise no one would use them. Anything digital these days is a risk.

Wanted to bump this thread as I just heard through the neighborhood chatter that a friend was scammed today in the exact same fashion.

If the bank calls you - there is no verification text message.
It's a scammer breaking the two factor authentication.

I was luck to receive a full recovery of my funds. The reverse wire worked and I was whole 48 hours later. You might not be so lucky.
