I'm looking to create a .psd file/template for a custom TH&C design. Does anyone know the correct dimensions of each part of a TH&C chip?

Thanks in advance,
Tim

I presume you're referring to a Paulson LCV or SCV mold and not the RHC or C&J hat & cane mold, correct?

Also, there could be slight variations in molds - a millimeter or two here and there - based on the specific mold used to create the various chips out there. In speaking with David Spragg this weekend, he indicated that they've have or have had hundreds of hat & cane molds in use, and some clearly have slight variations from one another.

Anywho, I mention all this just because I'm not sure how precise you're looking to be with your project, but to encourage you to allow some tolerance in measurements. We can't be too much more picky than Paulson/GPI, and they don't even check to make sure the same mold is used on each side of a chip.

Yes, LCV and SCV. I guess you're right about the many variations.

Im using 39 mm as my perimeter and 1" as my inlay with a 7/8" label. Of course, I'm converting all of those numbers to pixels. If my math hasn't failed me, I should be fairly close.

That 7/8" (.875") label figure is Paulson's standard inlay size on THC mold chips. The actual size of the recess that I measured on 5 different solids that I used for my Gear relabel set was .975"+- .005" and my .965" labels sit pretty flush in the recess.
