Hi everyone,

As some of you know, my wife is extremely active in animal rights advocacy and has participated in the Walk for Farm Animals for several years now. It's organized by and for the benefit of Farm Sanctuary, which is a farm animal rescue and such a wonderful organization. There have been similar sanctuaries popping up over the last several years, but there are still far more abandoned and mistreated farm animals in need of rescue than organizations to do the work and Farm Sanctuary is still the best of the bunch.

As the title says, in exchange for donations to the walk, I'll be raffling off a package consisting of all the following:

(1) 10% equity in my entry into the upcoming Parx Big Stax $300+30 tournament (if you donate before my tourney flight which is this Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11am EST);
(2) Two bridge size set-ups: one sealed Desjgn and one pre-USPC Kem (opened, but unplayed by me and in pristine shape, found in an antique shop a few years ago) plus 2 yellow and 2 red bridge size cut cards;
(3) Single chips in air-tites: one Binion's $100; one "Call This!" by emptypocs; and one ASM 100 year anniversary chip; and
(4) Sample sets of the following:
- Iron Bank (GoT) tourney set by stocky;
- The Boulevard cash set by bmichaelhorn;
- Key West cash and tourney set by dennis63 on CT;
- 12 "Enlighten Me" show 'em chips by toad94 on CT;
- Clermont Lounge cash set on ASM smooth no mold by me (design by J5);
- Monogrammed (denom on reverse) BCC cash set on flame mold by me;
- Clermont Lounge tourney set on MGK (incomplete - only 25, 500, 5000) by me (design by J5; stamping by monkeydog);
- CPS tourney and cash sets on Tower & Spear china clay;
- Nine Dragons tourney and cash sets on Game On ceramics;
- Fast Cash Club tourney set on Old West Poker Supplies ceramics by SixSpeedFury;
- Westside Lanes Casino cash set on Bud Jones S2s ($1, $5, $25 and $100) and Bud Jones Suits mold (.50, $3)
- PCF tourney set on PGI ceramics;
- Game On ceramic production samples (39mm and 44mm);
- CPC ceramic production samples (39mm and 43mm);
- CPC hybrid production sampes (39mm)

All items as pictured below. International participants are welcome at no extra charge.

So how much do you have to give for a chance at the above?

Donate $20 and receive 5 entries;
Donate $30 and receive 10 entries;
Donate $60 and receive 25 entries;
Donate $100 will receive 50 entries *as well as a set-up of 2008 or 2009 WSOP Kems (opened, but unused)*;

*Please note that there are no more WSOP set-ups remaining. The three I had are now spoken for thanks to the generosity of a few kind PCFers. Thank you guys

Procedure for the raffle will be as follows:
- Donations through this thread will close on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 8pm EST;
- Each participant will be assigned a spread from 0000 through 9999 sized according to the number of entries;
- I will post each participants' spread on Sunday, August 9, 2015 by 3pm EST;
- The winner will be determined by the New Jersey Pick 4 evening numbers on Sunday, August 9, 2015.

So what do you need to do to enter? Go to my wife's page here and donate a minimum of $20. Be sure to click the option to make your donation public and then also post in this thread. I will update the second post below so you can see that I have noted your participation and the correct number of entries.

Note: the donation site doesn't take PayPal, which I consider a PITA (though I know the arguments both ways), so an extra thank you for having to actually take the time to key in your number. If it's enough of a PITA that they don't take PayPal that you might be discouraged from donating, please PM me. You can PayPal me and I'll donate in your name and you can see it go up on her page for verification. My paypal is jbutler16 [at] gmail. Please include your PCF name (but do NOT include "PCF" as it will be flagged and held) in the message.

Note also: if you don't get your donation in before the start of the tournament, you will be drawing only for the stuff above and not the tournament equity. For those who do get their entries in before the tournament, the winner will receive 10% of my net, post-tax winnings.

Clarification: prompted by an emailed question that I hadn't considered, but should have, please note that no matter whether the ultimate winner of the package has donated in time for a piece of the tourney, 10% of my tourney equity will be given away to someone. If the person whose number is drawn in the NJ Pick 4 drawing did not donate in time to receive the piece of my tourney winnings, the winnings will go to the person who did donate in time and whose number is closest to the number drawn. In the event of a tie (equal distance on either side of the drawn number), the tourney winnings will go to the lower number if the number drawn in the NJ Pick 4 is odd and the higher number if the number drawn in the NJ Pick 4 is even.

Thank you so much in advance for any amount!

It's more like I'm the loud obnoxious intoxicated one and CLB is in the background rolling her eyes half heartedly going "yeah" and ""uh-huh" and absentmindedly looking at her watch.

Tried donating and it won't let me. After entering all my information and going to the confirmation page, I click continue and it tells me to fix all my errors and it takes all the credit card info out. Tried twice making sure my info was correct and it does the same thing. Anyone else running into this?

I was on a Safari browser on my iPad and it did this. Click the back button and choose to submit the info again and you should be good to go.

On chrome it gives me the "leave this page and all info will be lost" dialog box. When I finally go back to the previous page it gives me a "resubmit form" message. After trying to do it again same result. I will try from IE as that is my only other option here at work.

btw, here is the structure sheet for the Big Stax $300+30. i think i'd actually prefer 30 min levels to start, but i guess if it's already going to be a three day tourney that wouldn't make much difference.

average turnout for the event has been 1,450 entries, a $400k prize pool and a $90k first prize. i believe they have historically paid out 10% of the field.

In for $20! PP?

Love the "Call this!" chip!

In for $60 Jack... Great cause... Please wish Jennifer all the best on my behalf...

Paulo-

Thanks Paulo and Toby! If you want to do PP, it's jbutler16 [at] gmail.

@Paulo, the "Call This!" chip was made by emptypocs/Ed from CT as noted in the OP. one of the several really great and generous posters who didn't make the transition to PCF (that i'm aware of at least). though Ed i was able to get a hold of (1) my MGK set; (2) good car-buying advice; (3) a stack of these "Call This!" chips; and (4) more than a few sample sets and freebies he sent over the years.

I had no issues going through her site man... Smooth sail for me... Happy to contribute for sure...

yeah i forwarded a couple donations through the site this morning by debit card on Chrome and had no issues either. still don't mind doing the PP thing, though, since i personally hate it when i can't use paypal to buy something online.
