Vegas 2015 - chips and brief stories (3 Viewers)

Today is going and playing cash at places I have never played before Wynn, and Palms are going to be stop bys so I can say I played there

Picked up a rack of ones at the Cosmopolitan - i like these - picking up two racks of ones from Paris tommorrow -

My buddy got mint ones by playing craps at Aria - sheepishly proud of the lad as I am sure that took a while to do - they look great though esp new --- he is new to collecting but now fully hooked - he is the proud owner of extensive Stardust cash and tourney sets both of which are quite nice so now its open season

Chip stack pics will be posted soon so we can see the other casinos look and feel -

More to follow - hope I can muster my laziness to visit Spinettis but only if Mike is there

Update - planned to play the daily deepstack today and while we were waiting sat down to 1/3 because 2/5 had a crazy wait - bought in for the max $300 -

After this run up I ditched all tournies until Thursday -# chipfundhappiness

Also scored a rack of 1's from the Cosmopolitan and almost a rack of 1's from Paris - these chips took all day to acquire and they do not let you get them in quantity anywhere - its like Fort Knox trying to find minty ones but after some effort I was able to make it happen - if you want them make an offer but cant sell them for face value due to the sweat equity involved -

Either way - i like them both and will hold on to them if there are no takers -

Tommorrow is deepstack at Rio SNG's and daily tournies all day - good night from Vegas ⚽

7x your buy in at 1/3?? Are the games that good, or are you a wizard, or did you get hit with the deck for like 3 hours and no one folded? Combination of all 3 maybe?? Nice score, I'm usually VERY happy with 3 or 4 times my buy in playing 1/3 with out sitting there for 15 hours.

The hand that broke the game open for me was as follows:

6. 7. 9 flop. - two clubs- 4 players in the hand - 12 bucks pre flop - all had roughly 250-300 behind ( max buy in 300). Under the gun straight flush draw ( we never saw his hand) i had 8 10 off - middle position had nut flush with 9 ( top pair ) and third had low end of straight 5 8 -- ( never saw his hand ) - i bet 35 and everyone flatted - turn was a brick - i had 1100 or so at the time i think - then I shoved - after everyone checked ( which i had been raising everyhand so a check raise would make sense ) after i jammed - Snap call. Shrug him haw call and then no words just pushed all in -

Scooper -

clearly if what they had was what they said then it was clearly a perfect storm but the reality is there is a shit ton of action in the RIO - its that town called Juicyville Nevada -

If you have never been here during the WSOP you will see very bad play get rewarded - incredible poker and great calls and in this case some pure run good -

Well - the deepstack turned out to be an all or nothing tourney - out of 998 I finished 111th - money was 108th 77 UTG + 1 and ran into JJ -- 3000/6000 blinds ante 1000 - felt time to ship it - Ended up on $300 buy in hitting roulette and felt better -

Over all the trip was certainly one of validation - great experiences and cemented my love of poker- just an awesome experience - look forward to next June ! Thanks for everyone that followed the journey - fly out today - back to the family and very ready to do so -

MGM also lays claim to the best poker chair ever - as comfortable as it gets

Thanks Vegas. until 2016

Thanks for all the reports and pics! I hope to have just a little of the run good that you had when I arrive this week.

Grats man, enjoyed following the trip, fun to live vicariously through others' eyes sometimes. Love seeing large denomination chips in the hands of players as well as huge stacks. Remind me to never sit at your table, unless roulette.

Well played sir,

BiGGyT

You guys rock - thanks for the kind words -
Look forward to getting back to reality -
Appreciate the support !!!

Really liking those BJ tournament chips. Too bad the bastards wouldn't let you take them home ;)

Congrats on the productive trip.
