Checked out some inlays under UV light and wanted to share. Funny thing are the build in spelling errors.
Feel free to add pics of your chips under black light! :D

This is my all time favorite. It is on a ChipCo plaque.

Great thread.

Awesome pics. Thanks for sharing. And yeah great idea for a thread. No one I play with believes me that there are "hidden" markings on some of the chips so I can now show them this thread.

That PCA hundo is pretty cool. I want my name written in UV too. Ultimate balla status. Hey wait a sec....I am Mr. C. Hmmm time to scoop some of those up I guess.

These are awesome, thanks for sharing.

Stupid question: when do these get checked by the casino, just when you turn in racks of chips to the cage? Or are they randomly checked at certain table stakes/games?

They don't routinely get checked, at all, and when they do get checked with UV, they avoid doing it in public. They don't want people to be aware of the UV features.

They pretty much only bring out the UV when they have a reasons to suspect the chips - a cashier spots an imperfect color match, or the house knows someone has been passing chips and they're trying to track it down to certain tables so they can run back the video recordings, etc.

I just adore UV, microdots, and other protection

Not sure these qualify as stamps

Does PGI still offer UV printing?

I was tinkering with a new design idea a while back and was going to explore possibilities with Joe...
as I recall, the author wrote that he painted this special pen .. :)

Went over my wall hangers again looking for anything cool. The Empress $5s have lil' tiny top hat and cane marks, but nothing more interesting than that. Most of my chips are a bit older, so they might not have stepped up the UV game to today's level yet.

Wanna be balla!? You can get Clayramics (molded ceramics I guess) with custom UV. Be balla!

"PCL UV Security" text printed in UV ink, visible under UV light only = Add $.10 per chip

Your custom text printed in UV ink, visible under UV light only = $250.00 plate creation fee per custom mark, plus $.10 per chip. Your UV plates are kept and stored securely for future print orders.

never noticed the misspelling of Wynn before...cool!

It's an old technique for spotting copycats. There was a story I remember of engineers designing some sensitive parts - either for nuclear weapons or for weapons-grade material refining equipment - where they made the design with the regular screws offset with left-handed screws. There was no engineering purpose for the screws, but they figured if the Soviets turned up with left-handed screwd, they'd know the plans were copied.

This is one of PGI's retailers. PGI offered UV printing on ceramics at one time, dunno if they still do....

The pictured chips are Sun-Fly, as are the molds shown. Clayramics is a term invented by that web site (Sun-Fly calls them something else), and listed prices are about twice what you pay when ordering directly from Sun-Fly.

Surprised this thread died. I was playing with one of my kids UV light pens and got to check out a few newer chips before my 3 yr old had to have the pen back.

Looks like the Native Lights secondary all say PAULSON. Will check out more later when I get the light back.
