Ultrasonic cleaning sodium metasilicate versus sodium sesquicarbonate (1 Viewer)

I accidentally purchased some phosphorus free TSP that wasn't metasilicate. I decided to give it a go and see. Here are the results:

Verdict: The sodium sesquicarbonate doesn't clean very well.

Metisilicate are the chips on the left.

Yeah, that helps a lot. I'm assuming your quantities, times and temperatures were the same. It does appear the metasillicate does a better job. You may find that a higher concentration of the "sesqui" will do an adequate job. My thoughts are why re-invent the wheel. Get more of the sodium metasillicate and be done with it.

Yeah, the sesquicarbonate purchase was by accident.
