Not sure if this is the right way to post this, but I am going to be going through Memphis some time in the next week or two. I want to go by Tunica to pick up some single chips from several of the casino there for my collection, and even the Southland Casino Racing in Arkansas. I may also be going to the new Century Casino Caruthersville (former Lady Luck), but they haven't reopened yet.

I am willing to try to pick up chips if anyone wants singles, barrels, or racks. Let me know if you are interested, and we can work something out.

Edit: Century Casino Caruthersville, does not have pictures on Chipguide yet.
This Facebook post has some picutes:

Edit 2:
Casinos in the Tunica area are: Horseshoe Tunica, 1st Jackpot, Sam's Town, Hollywood, Fitz Tunica, Gold Strike.

Would love a rack of the .50s or whatever you can do. I feel like you are setting yourself up for a lot of requests this way though ha ha

My comment was mostly in jest, getting live fracs from a casino is usually limited to hitting blackjacks.

So you are saying I need to tell the wife I will be playing lots of blackjack?

I've gotten several messages about fracs from the Century Casino. I will attempt to get some and let you know what I am able to get.

Those 1s are super cool too! If you can find some in good condition you should have no problem finding buyers on here!

Those fracs are really sweet. I’ll definitely be looking for a rack of those at some point. The $1’s are pretty nice too.

I went by the Century Casino Caruthersville, and I was not able to get chips in quantity. This is a very small casino, they maybe had 10 blackjack tables, and 1 craps table. I was told no when I asked about buying chips, but maybe that could change after all this COVID-19 restrictions are done. It looks like the were running lean, with staff having masks, and table games having the plastic dividers, and a lot of things closed off.

Here is a picture of the frac, $1, and $5 chips.

New chipper here.
How does this work exactly? Do you go to the casino cashier or dealer at a table and buy racks at face value and walk out the door?

Casinos are all different, so you need to go ask. I like to collect singles from casinos, and some places will let me buy them at the table, and others have told me to go to the cage. They usually will look for good condition chips if you ask nicely. Table games don't have that many chips, so getting a rack of chips from a table seems unlikely. It is pretty easy to get singles from a table, but I like to go to the cage first since they usually take the time to find you a decent condition chip.

For a rack, you'll find a wide range of experiences if you search other posts on harvesting. Places with poker rooms will give you racks of chips, since you get your chips before playing. It seems like people have better luck at bigger casinos.

Bigger casinos are def different, cage pretty much wont give you much of anything I've found, they generally have someone working next to them so tipping them to do something for you never planned out for me. Asking dealers at table games for 20 1s tho worked like a charm, just walking around asking.

Poker room that uses 1s is def the best bet a sthey give you racks. You can often tip the guy working there and they will help you out.

And the "big wheel" games are a gold mine for harvesting. $1 min bet, they spin the wheel which goes forever and you can sort your chips while that's happening and pocket the good ones.
