Took some serious elbow grease but now they shine .

Beautiful mixed set & nice work on the cleaning … those $5s pop!

Beautiful set! The $5s are stunning

Out of curiosity, since the photos don’t show it, did you have any “color clumps” so to speak on the $5s? I got some salmon scrowns a while back, and I swear it was almost as if the chip had sweated some of the red out along the outer edge of the chip face. It wasn’t dirt—it literally made my fingers red when I shuffled them. Attached a photo for reference.

How did you clean these chips, soap bath and magic eraser? They’re gorgeous!

Yeah they’re stunners!
That’s weird. There was nothing like that on mine. Exactly what I did, soap bath and gently scrub with magic eraser. Time consuming but effective

Come on people; stop posting gorgeous pictures of TRKs. It's hard to resist taking the plunge.

Exceptional job cleaning them @Eriks! I really like your pairing of Knights with the Pick Hobson.

I resisted for the longest time too, but now I’m glad I decided to take the leap. They really live up to the hype!

Yeah, I thought they fitted well with the Hobsons. Since we don’t play in $ our smallest denom is the 1 and is like a frac, it felt perfect with a solid.

Even better then! I used to be anti-solids, but I've come around. The artwork on the King's really comes through with the solid chip.

I just realized that I wrote Knights up above, not Kings. That's what happens when you stay up all night playing poker only to have AA cracked by KK all-in preflop for $376 at 4am and you make the embarrassment disappear with Bourbon.

Haha ouch, that hurts.
I really like solids, got a B&G ceramics solids tourney set that I hold dear.

I've never actually gotten a chance to handle B&G chips. Although they are heavy ceramics, I hear that they are quite slippery. Not to hijack your awesome TRK post, but how do you find the B&G chips feel in your hands?

They have the perfect amount of texture where they’re not slippery at all and still shuffle great. Handle better than chipcos imo. Maybe you’re thinking of the B&G plastics? I haven’t handled those though but other plastics like bud jones, matsui and abbiati feel very slippery to me

Also, I’ve got a missing part for this set on its way. Can’t tell you how excited I am. The 50 on the left have my name on them.

Those hundos are so nice. One of my favorite TRKs based on pictures at least. What I can't stand about these old TRKs is the difference in stack height. Wish it didn't bother me as much. On the other hand, if it didn't bother me, things could get pretty expensive  :ROFLMAO:

As long as there’s no difference within the same denoms it doesn’t bother me. I’ve gotten used to it from my LCO set where a barrel of 5s is notibly shorter than the rest. You owe it yourself to own at least a barrel of leaded trks at some point though.

You're probably right about that I should own some more... I only have some decent TRK singles.

But stack height differences is also a problem i have with used casino Paulsons, like the LCOs, where some denoms have more wear than others. For some reason it tilts me to no end, lol.

From what I’ve seen “thickness” wise with TRKs is this, I usually only see differences in stack heights when you put together mixed sets.
Usually sets with denominations all from the same casino tend to be the same thickness and therefor stack to even heights.
An exception to what I just mentioned though is this. On the Nevada Club/Lodge chips, the Lodge chips are thicker and stack slightly taller than the Club chips.
I can greatly understand how differences in stack heights can tilt a chipper. For me, I think the beauty, rareness and history of such awesome chips takes that tilting away where as it would probably bother me somewhat with a Paulson or BCC set.
