TRK Riverside Hotel & Casino, Reno: Massive Playable Cash Set - Pr0n (1 Viewer)

I don't recall if I've posted these before. This is a barrel of mint 1940s large crown TRK hotstamped Riverside hundos. Banana yellow with brown half-moon spots.

Guess I'll call them "Bananas," to go with the Bluebirds and Chocolate Chips.

The hotstamp detail, particularly the sawtooth ring, is amazing.

Throwback to a Chiptalk post I made on the Blue Wall waaaaay back in 2013:

Resurrecting this thread. I am building a new cash set, using old casino chips. Play mostly .25/.50, but assume that over time we'll move up to $1/2. (Longterm, years from now inflation will make $1/2 the new .25/.50.)

Currently:
100 x .25
200 x $1
600 x $5

It is unlikely that I'll be able to find a rack of $25 chips to match this set, let alone $100s. But if I do (or more likely, use other chips that compliment the set), I'd probably add 80 x $25 and 20 x $100.

I have 600 of the $5s now, but have an option for two more racks at $100 per rack. I honestly doubt I'd ever get all these chips in play in a single table cash game, but you never know.

So...we have arrived at my question: Should I buy the extra two racks of chips and bump my total to 800? It would certainly give me flexibility and insurance. As these are from an old, long-closed casino, I'd be unlikely to find full racks in the future, but if I did, not at this price. I should also note that $25 and $100 chips from this casino are NOT cheap, so these two extra racks for $100 each give me value for money, I think.

Goph

LOL at contemplating adding two extra racks of Bluebirds. I ended up adding twelve extra racks of $5s and blew through my estimated $25/$100 targets.

Currently:

160-200 x .25c (160 in the set and a couple barrels or so somewhere boxed up)
240 x $1
1,800 x $5
200 x $25
40 x $100

PS: Still looking for all denoms, but especially $1s, mint $5s (need 5-10, but happy for more), $25s and hundos.

I think you could play 10/20 with your current set. I'd prefer more hundos, but the 25s will fill in adequately, if a little awkwardly.

Those are awesome chips!!

Please stop posting pics of chips I no longer own and regret selling!!
JK your set is stupendous. The way you keep adding to it is amazing. Post all the pics you want....

Help an OCD hoarder get to full racks/barrels:

I'm looking for the following Riversides:

15 x .25c
25 x $1
10 x $25
10 x $100

Anyone have any extras of any of these?

Updated Riverside totals:

.25c x 190
$1 x 280
$5 x 1,820
$25 x 275
$100 x 55

2,620 chips. Bank of $21,802.50.

So close to full barrels/racks on a few of the denominations, which is driving my OCD bonkers.

Anyone have 10-15 Riverside fracs? Some $1s, $25s or hundos? No reasonable offer refused! ;)

Well that's a huge set, especially considering it's a TRK set. You have double the amount of chips than I own in just one set.

Love those chocolate $25s, even though I'm not usually fond of brown chips.

I found a spare $25. I'll throw it in with your sample set

That night was the official debut of the set in a cash game. Here is a pic of my stack at the end of the night...not bad for a .25/.50 game....

And those are bergs' ape-mitts at left making a modest-sized river bet in .25/.50 SOHE.
Gotta ask, is your chip count $1800 in a $.25-$.50 game? Also know as about 3600 big blinds? :D
