Disclaimer* I'm not trolling this group this is a legitimate new guy question:

That's the the appeal with TRK? I've only held Paulson in my hand. You have a really nice Paulson set. What is it you miss and what draws people to TRK vs Paulson? is it the nostalgia, the feel, etc? Seems like most TRK sets are so not-mint
They’re pretty cool feeling chips. Shuffle a stack of leaded inlaid TRKs and you’ll probably have your answer.

Feel and longevity. There is nothing as nice as sharp leaded TRKs imo.

You would need to experience them yourself at a home game to make your own opinion. These were my intro to them.

Wow, tagging @Lil Tuna

Ya I've seen these before. Never held any tho... those look really mint and crisp. Most the TRK I've seen are all rounded. I'd love to experience these someday. Until then I'll have to take your word for it. those are gorgeous.

Those look to be in great condition. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen any of those come up for sale and they are one of the more sought after $5s from the Nevada Lodge/Club casinos.

If you’ve not ever handled great condition leaded TRKs and your someone who has an understanding of “they don’t make things like they used to,” you’ll have a new appreciation for them once you do.

I feel like TRKs are to leaded THC as leaded THC are to RHC. Or as this guy puts it...

They’re usually from the 1960s when inlay design was more elaborate and artful than today. Before fantasy home sets, NAGBs, and regulation on lead content. They look like this after 60 years.

But clean up great.

Any denom higher than $5 is hard to find and hence prohibitively expensive but for low stakes sets the $1s and $5s are perfect.

Also these 38-39mm NCC $1s are heavier than any non leaded 43mm IHC.

And @Okku has done YouTube videos on the history of a lot of these casinos.

Dibs

I bought three TRK NL/NC singles a few weeks ago and they arrived last week (thx to Okku and thx to my re-shipper). These chips are so great that I instantly fell in love… near mint conditio, such a classy inlay superb design, the feel, the sound the colors are amazing…. what a pity that these chips are so hard to find … I should have started this hobby ten years ago

Those NC $5s aren't mine. I think @aggie owns them now but I played with those and got hooked. I have a few racks of different NC $1s/$5s and a set of King's Crown.
