Possibly setting the record for the weirdest trade request, but my 10-year old daughter Josie is the chip collector in our house. She was going to donate these 3 Goldiblox sets to goodwill but when I suggested that someone might want to trade a couple of chips for them her eyes lit up. :wow:

Goldiblox are basically modern tinkertoys aimed at 4-7 year old girls. The ‘spinning machine’ in particular is pretty neat, take a look at the picture on the box cover. We think all 3 sets are complete but they don’t come with a parts list so I can’t be 100% sure. Certainly you can build any of the projects by using a part from one of the other sets if need be.

Josie’s favorite chips in her collection so far are her Royal Yak ceramic sample set (“because they feel so nice”) and her $1 live chip from the Borgata (“because it’s real”).

So if any of you scrub donkeys know a 4-7 year old girl who likes building stuff, and want a cool present in exchange for a few cool chips, Josie is open to offers. :D

I'm don't think my daughter is old enough to use these, but I would love to send Josie a few chips regardless!

@sheikh617 Wow- that’s very generous of you- Thanks! PM incoming.

Of course, you could put these away in the attic for when your daughter is a little older... although having just cleared out our attic I am well aware of the pitfalls of going down THAT slippery slope. :confused

What types of things does your daughter like? Any favourite colours?

Send me a private message with some of your info.
I’m in France right now, but when I am back in North America, I’ll try to look through what I might have that would interest her.

(And no, I don’t need the toys, My wife says my kids have too much already.

Okay, I'm definitely in on this! I have a couple of 1's from the Grand Casino Coushatta in Kinder, LA that are live. I would love to send her a couple. I also have a $1 chip from Cypress Bayou Casino (no longer a live chip) that I would love to send as well.

Nothing like seeing a parent taking time with their children. It would be my pleasure to send her these chips! :D

Holy buckets, you guys are going to spoil her!

The generosity of this forum never ceases to amaze me.

@sheikh617 the Goldiblox are boxed up and ready to go. :)

@Racer96 Josie likes ceramics and used casino chips. She says her favorite chip colors are light blue, yellow and purple. (I had no idea!)

@shorticus thank you! She is excited about expanding her collection of “real” chips!

@Herman Pu thank you! And yes, I’m as proud as can be. Your son is a cute kid!

PMs outbound to everybody as soon as we are done with homework. :)

@sheikh617 @shorticus and @Herman Pu
You are a very generous trio- thank you again!

Josie know knows what an “inlay” is, and that the indentations on the edges are the “mold” and that the little hat is “top hat and cane”. She says THC is a much better mold than the ones on the china clays she has.

She was holding her new stack of Paulsons in her hand and saying how they felt really nice, and marveling at how smooth the rolling edges were “Mama, feel this”. I think I’m in trouble!! What have you guys done?!? :wow:

The BTP snapper is currently being displayed on our mantlepiece, and my wife is now giving me funny looks...
