Tourney Color-ups (1 Viewer)

Just grabbed an AS tournament set, and have never hosted a large tourney. That will end shortly. I typically do 10 man T10K starting stacks (8, 8, 4, 2, 1). That being said, I have no issue on color ups. I have the following denoms:

T25 - 200
T100 - 200
T500 - 100
T1,000 - 60
T5,000 - 20
T25,000 - 20

I am planning to sell off excess 1,000 (10), 5,000 (50) and 25,000 (40). Am I safe to assume that an extra 20 T1K's are enough (coupled with the T25K) to do a color up at some point if I am running a 20+ man tourney? What should be the color-up strategy and should I keep any specific denoms for color-ups? Specifically the T1K's?

Well if you got all your small denom chips in play, which it doesn’t look like you would. You would need 5k to color up the 25s, 20k for the 100s, and 50k for the 500s.

So 15 5k chips would handle color ups til the 500s. I don’t know if you’d get to the point where the 1k would color up?
