Just looking for some advice. Hosting a tournament this Saturday. 5000k starting stack. $20.00 buy in.$5.00 bounty. I do 15 min blinds. It's unlimited re buys for the 1st 2 hrs. Then u can do a $10.00 top up for 1/2 the starting stack. Always get a good amount of top ups. Do you think it would be better to do a $10.00 top up for 3/4 starting stack. A little more enticing for everyone to top up.

What are the blinds after the add-on break? The number of BBs to be optionally purchased should drive your add-on amount.

Since blinds are 500/1000 after your add-on break, a half-stack add-on is only 2-1/2 BB - not a very worthwhile investment. I'd maybe go with a $10 add-on worth a complete stack (T5000, or 5BB), but even that seems relatively pointless.

Also note that anybody who purchases a re-buy after L4 is always getting less than 17BB - pretty much a bad investment for their tourney dollar. After L6, the re-buy is a max of around 8BB down to as little as 5BB, which is all bordering on stupid.

You should consider just ending the re-buy period after L4, and then offer a T3000 add-on (10BB, 60%-stack) for $10. The chips (re-buys and add-ons) still have meaningful value at that point.
