What a great day to check the mail today. It was like Christmas except one item I was expecting is still in limbo here in San Antonio. The item in Limbo is @Mr Tree 's sample set. I will have to wait until the PO gets their stuff together.

So what else came? Please follow along.....

4 small packages

Whats in Package #1?
something for the single collection and you have to love Tropicana chips!

IMG_1574.JPG

Package #2?

Well as you know I love old Las Vegas Casino Chips so another for the singles collection. What to do with the two extra???

IMG_1569.JPG

Package #3?

Yes I really wanted to try out the bridge size Modiano cards so I ordered a couple to try. I hope to get some Poker size PA's soon.

And what is in the last package???

What is in Package #4?

Something I have been waiting to complete for a long time!!!

Thank you to a fellow chipper and friend these were recently harvested!!! The friend came through and I appreciate it very much and now I am very happy to reintroduce some more chips to their family members!!!

Package #4 contained 13 Flamingo Spotted birds and 154 Spotted with no birds!!!

And here they are all snuggled in a couple of racks prior to be cleaned!

And last but not least I let the family reunite for a bit. I did separate them again for cleaning but I had to shoot a picture of all of them together. 2 racks of Spotted and 2 racks of spotted with birds.

(No birds were harmed in the shooting of these pictures)

Mine's not there yet? It should have arrived by now.

Love the spotted birds! Glad you finished that rack. Now I can harvest for myself on the Vegas trip later this year. :)

Nice chips David! Congrats on a nice day of chipping. Love those racks of flamingos.

Nice haul man! Congrats on "finishing" the Flamingos (or at least getting them to a playable level).

Time to change your signature.

I know I told myself to do that this morning and forgot. Will do now though!

Thanks

I have not posted here in a while although I have received many things between now and my last post. Anyway I had to share this with you.

As many of you know I have another chip that I have been collecting for a while other than the spotted flamingos. I am not sure I will every quit looking for this particular chip or any spotted flamingos but my latest find will slow me down (not the flamingos).

I just received enough today to finish out my third rack...........

Gold Coast Fracs.

I have split them up into a rack of very sharp edges with no flea bites, a rack of sharp with some but minimal flea bites and a rack of all other. Thankfully the last 50 I just received were all in very very good shape.

Now the pRon!

My 50 new fracs!!

Would you believe I'm more jealous of these than I am of those birds?
I still own 1.

Seriously. I'll trade you for birds! I guess these are a bit harder to come by. Some people do not care for them but I like the simplicity of the chip

When I got the idea to build my first set, a mixed casino set, I got on eBay to see what kinds of quarters were out there, and these jumped out at me. Partly because their cool simplicity makes them versitile, and partly because I stayed at the Gold Coast once. But I dig them.
3 racks? Well done!

Can I call dibs if you ever sell any haha
Not sure I would do a dibs sale. I have often thought about culling out the rack of casino used once I got to two racks in excellent condition. The thing is I always get sellers remorse. If I ever do it would most likely be an auction to give everyone a chance. Or maybe a raffle! I hate setting values on chips that I own so it is tough for me to do a regular sale!

Having experienced sellers remorse with a couple of sets, I think you are better off keeping them. I still hate myself for offloading my PCAs, especially for the price I did.

Definitely a great frac and perfect for mixed sets.

Just received another chip for my Paulson G2E chip collection. I read that the G2E held the first expo in there fall of 2001. I am not sure when Paulson actually started producing the yearly welcome chip. My collection starts with 2011 and just added this years chip. A huge thank you goes out to the person that got this for me!

Someone flipped me a 2016 and I thought it would be neat to try to start getting them going forward but too much hassle. Glad you managed to score!
