Hi, I'm playing around with designing my own poker set.

I was curious if anyone had recommendations for chip colors or if there was standards outside of what I was thinking below:
  • 25c - Pink?
  • $1 - White or blue?
  • $5 - Red or Yellow
  • $25 - Green
  • $100 - Black
Thanks and apologies if this has been asked before.

Of course, you can also go vintage and find a whole different approach to colors.

Vegas colors are pretty much the standard everywhere in the US except for California. People who play in casinos will be used the standard Vegas colors, but since these are for your own game, you can do whatever you like.

No matter what colors you use, make sure the colors of each denomination are distinguishable from each other.

Hi, I'm playing around with designing my own poker set.

Get samples of whatever chip(s) you're thinking on including with your set first. There is no substitute for seeing the chips together on the table before committing to a large investment.

White/Red/Green/Black are common colors for most U.S. casino chips; $1 thru $100.

However, for your home games, there is no harm in deviating from those colors if it's what you want; so long as the denominations that share the table can be easily distinguished from each other whether they're in stacks or splashed pots. Denominations that have similar base colors and/or spots can cause confusion and dirty stack issues.
