This isn't off topic but I couldn't find a better place to put it.

I have seen several classifieds lately that have gotten completely FUCKED UP by people on BOTH sides of this recent event. there seems to be a small handful of people that think they need to quip up everytime a comment is made this way or that. I have a 9 yr old and a 6 yr old that am constantly telling them to ignore the other one......you guys sound like them or worse. These are fucking poker chips not major life events

So I ask the mods this .....

Leave a thread open so these elementary kids can have their pissing contests......that means stop locking threads everytime a punch gets thrown I guess if you need to mod it then mod it if you need to give certain people time outs then do it ON BOTH SIDES!

So I'll say this


STOP FUCKING UP CLASSIFIEDS!!
 
Apparently some people on the board think they are the judge and jury of the site and need to chime in on literally every thread across the site
 
When somebody new joins the forum and they see some of the bickering and arguing that goes on, what must run through their minds? lol. Some of it is just embarrassing.

I just do not understand what you (and a few others) are doing here... You already created your sandbox full of hate, so why bother coming here to spill even more of your venom?

Most of you guys already showed what you're really made of. Why do you (and a few others) want to keep coming here and trolling every chance you have?

So you think PCF is crap? Just leave the crap alone!

Apparently you (and about 40 others) consistently mistake visibility and objectiveness as hate and venom. I literally cant post a single comment without it being interpreted as venom for some reason. Apparently any sniff of sarcasm is picked apart. I post a legitimate question in a sale thread and not the seller, but the usual suspects always chime in.

The reason is because that's what YOU do!


Some people clearly see what you and a few others are doing, and in some cases have been doing for over a year. Some don't, which is fine.

But again, you already have a "perfect" place to hang out. Why bother coming here and ruining for those that are here? The question still stands.

Why don't we inform the new people why the classifieds are full of sets that would have sold easily a couple months ago, and explain why nobody is buying them now?

Then the price is most likely too high there are several FS ads for the new chips that are sitting idle too

Which sets currently listed in the classifieds aren't selling that you feel would have easily sold a couple months ago? I'm genuinely curious which ones you're talking about, and in what way you feel the Star chips had an impact on them.

Well let's see. A month ago there were barely any sets hitting the classifieds. I thought it was strange. I'm in buying mode so I'd love to scoop up a nice cash set right now. When I joined in August, a set would hit the classifieds and before I could google it, it would be sold.
I'd have bought many of the sets that hit the classifieds recently if they were up before the GB became public. Now none of them are worth it to me. Why would I buy some dusty RHC set for $2+ per chip when the popular members of the community just bought nicer mint THC chips for $1.50? To a new chipper like me, the GB ruined the market, and I won't be the one wasting my money buying up people's least favourite chips so they can have their favourites for a fraction of the cost. There were at least 4 sets I'd have picked up before that I won't now including chippys Tonkawas that I believe just sold. I can give u a list of the sets I WOULD have bought if you'd like. It appears that everyone is actually trying to sell for less than they would have before the GB (maybe I'm wrong, maybe their prices would have been the same, maybe their sets still wouldn't have sold) but they don't seem to be moving in comparison. I might be just one little punk in the community, but I can certainly speak for why I'm not buying them now

You didn't answer my question. You said "the classifieds are full of sets that would have sold easily a couple months ago". I asked you to give me examples of those sets that are currently listed for sale, that aren't selling, that you feel would have a few months ago. If you have some examples, please let me know as I am genuinely curious to which specific sets you are referring.

Just because you aren't buying, doesn't mean anyone else it. These sold, as did several auctions. The only chips not selling are overpriced IMO. Doesn't seem to be an issue selling chips here.

Maybe you are all just players in yours games, but I'm a host, and I couldn't honourably do to any of my players as the 1st class PCFers have done to this community, in any respect

If you don't - someone else will. How is this sale any different than a casino selling unused secondaries? The casino paid less than $2 a chip. Someone had to buy them and resell. I agree the chips linked are over priced - but guess what? Not if someone buys them.

It's different because the top members of this community made the chips and they were sold to the bottom members for a much higher price and the GB people made a lot of money off the chips already lol

True that. Then why all the secrets to begin with? I actually would have paid more than chippys asking price for his set before, but I'm just one person. Just one little punk. But maybe there are other little punks here that are just a little too intimated to speak up, considering they know they will get bombed by all the 1st class PCFers and their little clan of wannabes

He's only asking approximately 2.5x more than the GB price.
Key word is "asking".
Anybody willing to pay that markup is doing a long-term disservice to the community imo. Goes for any sale w similar inflated prices but i cant necessarily place blame 100% on the sellers; buyers share equal responsibility.

There, I threw everybody under the bus....including myself :)
