I'm talking to a friend in colombia - he's open to harvesting a rack or two, but shipping is a fortune.

would there be any takers at $3/chip (including shipping) if they were in good condition?

It would be helpful to have him take some photos of the chips to show the condition as well as the true color. Scans on the chip guide can looked more washed out than their true colors.

if he goes i said to take pics. just wondering if it's even worth the trip since it's a big drive.

i know orange is popular here, especially spotted orange - but no idea how to field a ballpark estimate.
if it the ceiling is significantly under 3, it wouldn't be worth it given the work and shipping costs.

Are there any live pictures of the chips anymore on the internet? I would def be interested but I would have to see how the orange looks first.

The chip guide is awesome but the colors have been misrepresented before. Someone recently bought "orange" hot stamps in an auction and when he received them, they turned out to be arc yellow. Based on the info from the chip guide and even the pictures, it looked like they should have been orange. If someone had a live stack picture of the chips, that would be more helpful.

there's another one nearby with an identical chip and some nice colored solids for very low denoms.

it says dollars but given that the "dollar" value is identical to the peso value at the neighboring casino i'm guessing these are basically 12c and 25c chips.

the shipping cost is brutal though so almost definitely not worth it.

it's unclear what specific color it is but the fact that there's yellow on the chip in the form of a stripe makes me think that this is definitely orange given the contrast.
