Posting for a friend. Sad but true.

Life is too short for this kind of thing. Find your personal happiness and feel better.

My thoughts are:
Because of this forum, I just spent a week hanging out and playing poker with excellent people and friends. None of these items that you posted (on behalf of an anonymous third party) ever came up. If you (or this friend) doesn’t like something, than get involved and be the change you both want to see.

I'm glad someone got that off their chest.

In other news, thanks to my involvement with the great people on this forum over the past couple of years, my ability to provide a fun casino event for charitable fundraising allowed a small group of us to raise $1,895 in a few hours for our local wilderness search and rescue operation. And that's that.

Anonymous.

i remember passing notes in middle school, it was definitely fun. Glad to see it’s making a comeback.

Where can I check “y”/“n”/“idklolomg”

Even in the CT days there was good and there was bad. If you keep yourself focused on the bad you miss all the good that exists and makes up the majority of the forum. There's a lot of great information here with a ton of helpful people to help you through your process and and provide input as needed.

I also don't see how some people paying a lot for very rare grail sets affects the rest of us. As with any collectible item, some things are just very desirable and will increase in value. If they are able to pay what they pay for those sets and are happy with their purchase, good for them.

I feel that the market now is also larger than in the CT days which is why the desirable sets on the vendor sales threads sell out so quickly.

Are there people who buy things to flip them for a profit? Yes, as with any market where desirable items are resold.

“Today every inlay looks like Disneyland”

I’ve got everything else, but what does this mean? Is that a bad thing or a good thing? Legit curious.
Anonymous had a rough time on the "It's a small world" ride. The song starts his cold sweats....

it’s the closing monologue from Casino
EDIT: You beat me to it. Not sure how that went over so many heads. XD

I like the post because it's supposed to be Sam Rothstein at the end of Casino. Sure the forum isn't "the same" but an entity like this has to evolve. Some things are better, some maybe not. It's what we have and we have a great community and resource in PCF.

Appreciate it because yes, count me as one that it went right over my head. Haven’t seen the ending of that movie in a long, long time. Hate it when i dont get something that is so obvious, definitely feel silly for missing it now.

There are BRAND NEW Jack Detroit $25s for $1.25/chip.

I've made connections on here I NEVER even could have imagined. Ive got users in California, that I am already planning to visit and vice versa. I'm planning a trip to Ontario in 2 months to meet great chippers I met through this site.

Local PCFers responded to my ad for home games I posted when I first joined, and now they are my good friends. @LotsOfChips @Bradley @Frank @grantc54 @T_Chan @realcdn to name a few locals I have hooked up with and have all played my home game. Additionally, I've received invitations to @Lemonzest home games as well. Just fabulous. Without PCF, I had 0% chance of meeting any of these great people. I've made other connections through these guys like @allforcharity .

A person has the power to have themselves excluded from the Classifieds. You need only to ask @Tommy. Any individual can stay out of the Classifieds, it's a choice to look and be sickened. If it's that bad, you can stay out.

PCF is helping me learn how to host. I've posted questions about structure for tourneys and received so much help. Recently, @justsomedude @markleteenie and @BGinGA helped me run a great T100 base Tournament. It would have been harder for me without their inputs, experiences, and encouragement. You can't even put a value on this. It's priceless.

This board has immeasurable value. I've only been on here for less than a year, and I've gained all this I've mentioned. What the years ahead will hold, who knows.

Nice post @Jeevansluck ! I feel the same, met a few local PCFers and they are all good peeps! I joined after the whole boat chip thing, and I’m from NYC; flipping anything seems the norm. When people re-sell at cost, I think it’s awesome for the community. And if they want to hustle a profit, well that’s not new...
Glad to be here!
