If this isn't the best spot for this let me know. I'll be in Vegas next week, first time I'll be there a) by myself, and b) for longer than 2-3 days. I will definitely be playing a lot of poker so I've got that covered, but I'm hoping for ideas from locals or regulars on what might be a good outing for when I'm taking a break from gambling.

I will not have a car, so if it's longer than a 20-30 minute Uber ride I will probably have to pass.

And budget-wise I don't mind spending a few hundred dollars for a great experience, but prefer free/cheaper if possible.

Any good museums? Any good parks/trails within the general city limits?

Lots of good food, obviously, especially on the strip (which I presume is where you're staying?). We saw the Absinthe show last time we were there and loved it - -very raunchy humor, so if that isn't your thing, I'd skip. There are other shows of course -- we're going in April and are going to see "O" (Cirque du Soleil) at Bellagio. There's also Meow Wolf near the strip, which is supposed to be great. And there are the free things, like going to see the Bellagio gardens, walking the Forum Shops at Caesar's, or hitting up one of the pools at any of the strip properties: Aria, Vdara, Bellagio, Caesar's, Wynn, etc (for some of these I think you have to be a guest to access the pool, but I know that you can buy a spot at Aria and Vdara for like $100 a day or so).

I did the dune buggies in the desert which was a hoot. The company picked us up at the mgm and it was about a 30 minute ride. Much more fun than I expected.

Seeing the Grand Canyon is super cool.

Freemont street is unique.

Just walking through casinos is cool in its own way.

Golf!

Beautiful courses; however, expensive if you you aren't a Clark County resident. I never understood how a private business can charge out-of-staters a higher rate.

Hoover Dam is pretty impressive.

Go and see a Vegas Knights game, for sure. You can get tickets for relatively cheap.
