Looking to do something a little different for a baseball-themed high denom set for heads-up play.

Plans are for 2 43mm ceramic chips and 2-3 plaques so, as it appears I'll need a lot more chips than plaques, I want to nail those designs first... especially since there's a little bit more freedom with the plaque.

Here's the first draft... thoughts?

I really like the 5k chip. I feel like the 25k doesn't flow well with it.

I think the main color is off, but I don't know what to go with. I'm using black/gold for the largest plaque, but I'm a little stumped for the $25k and $100K.

Maybe a green or light brown? I want to incorporate the red/white/blue bunting somehow, but it could go on the $100k...

Same thoughts here. That 5k is awesome. The 25k almost feels like another set. Also, I'm not sure how the asymmetrical edge would look in stacks. Some of the banners would be up and some would be down. It may look a bit off.

I'm liking light brown or grey for the 25k.

Input appreciated, and I think I resolved the issue on the $25K...

And the $1 Million plaque... and I have to say I was inspired by the "Three Putt Poker" plaque.

That 25k looks much better! Now you're on the right track.

I really like the 1m. That's a great concept for the top denom.

I see two things to address at this point. If you're going to have a black and brown chip in play at the same time you may want to lighten the brown on the 25k just a tad.

The second issue is the empty black space on the 1m. The other two denims feature a background image that covers most of the space, so the 1m looks a bit plain comparatively. It may not be an issue for you.

Are you planning to jump from 25k to 1m?

Thanks -- as soon as I redid it in brown, I figured a "pitcher's mound" edgespot might work well.

To answer your questions:

1. Black and brown "shouldn't" come into play at the same time -- I'm basing my chip counts off a T1Million HU tourney structure from HPT. I'll be buying enough smaller denoms (5K, 25K, 100K) for 2 HU matches, but I wanted to use a chip / plaque to track the money each player has won -- the $1M plaque will serve that purpose.

People will buy plaques as their buy-in (say $5), and the winner of a match will take a $1M plaque from the other person. When it's time to cash out, you hand over the $1M plaques, and get paid for each.

2. Black / blank space on the $1M: I'm trying to keep it as minimalist as possible, as I don't want to take focus away from the WS trophy. However, I've been thinking whether to offset the trophy / name like it is on the smaller chips. I'll shoot you a PM with the offset version, and see which you prefer.

($100K plaque is being worked on... but, again, since I have a bit more freedom with regards to size AND there only will be about 25-30 of these, I wanted to make sure the concept worked on the smaller denoms first.)

Ok... based on some good feedback from a couple of members, here's a semi-final draft of the ceramics:

If everything seems good, then I'll calculate my costs and send it off for "official" review from Sal.

I really like the 100k!. The artwork is awesome. I still prefer the horizontal denom on the 1m, but other than that I think it looks great.

What are your starting stacking going to be?

You know... I never tried the horizontal denom on the $1M -- just the front. Off to Illustrator for a quick mockup before bed!

Starting stacks will be 15/13/6, with the 5Ks likely being replaced by 25K in round 4 (25K/50K blinds).

First batch ordered!

I'll be getting the 5K, 25K, and half of the 100K in this first part, and then saving my cash to complete the set later. There are a couple changes to the chip backgrounds, but I'll post proofs once Sal and I confirm the background for the 100K plaque and confirm chip colors.

Backgrounds figured out -- minor changes to the plaque (different angle of the SkyDome), but the 25K required a completely new picture. OWPS has the AI files and the images, so now to wait for them to work their magic.

Still awaiting a discussion regarding the colors... Sal has indicated the colors may print slightly darker, so those tweaks will likely occur once the other work has been dealt with.

(Waiting game commences...)
