The Official Poker Table Steam Cleaning Thread - Before and After Pics (1 Viewer)

We had kinda hijacked another thread, so giving this it's own space.

We meticulously clean our chips with expensive equipment and chemicals, but why not our tables? Inspired by @Goldfish, I did a careful steam cleaning and lo and behold, my cloth was covered in a thin film of hooker juice. Post your before and after pics below, as well as how much use it received before the cleaning.

Did a first run with warm water and less solution - made a difference but didn't really get the "grime" super well.

Did a second run two days later with hot water and more cleaning solution - alongside gently using the scrubbing tool and going over things 3 times yielded the end result.

The Bissell pet pro is awesome! I pre-treat the felt then go to work with the pet pro (using the bissell cleaning solution).

I tried steam cleaner with very unsatisfactory results. So I decided to take the felt off the table and run it through our washing machine. Awesome results!

I had to scrub and turn up the water temp for sure. My first pass was lackluster in results.

Try pretreating the felt with a pretreatment solution.

Note to table builders, no need to put in hundreds of staples for your felt.

I was a big fan of taking the felt off and running it through the washer.

Then I bought the mean green steaming machine.

I won't do it any other way now.

He might have had the same issue I did. Maybe needed hotter water/more solution in the mix/and a pretreatment as you suggested

I clean mine a couple of times a year, and had to give the table the once over today after some grease spots appeared after last night's game. It's like a band new table every time. Bissell Little green machine that we have had for about 10 years.

I don't let my table get as bad as you guys so before & after pics don't have very much contrast.

I do use the Dyson during the game & the Bissell maybe every 3rd depending on how many "hard shufflers" have played.

I also rotate my playing surface between red, purple & green so that helps too.
