Genuine English grammar / vocabulary question:
What's the polite verb and noun for farting and a fart?

Slightly belated, but this was one of the most exciting mail days I've had in a while! You don't see many of these around.

I’ve never seen this many together, wonderful! I picked up a couple from Drumhoss before he left but different 5K. Wow, that’s going to be fun to play with!

So, intrestingly, there is no polite form in English for farting.
Just euphemisms.

Talking about euphemisms, there is no match to "Pacific" Ocean or, amusingly, the term "Tolerance Home" in Greek (meaning brothel).

In British English "to trump" is probably the closest i.e. Have you trumped? Did you drop (or leave) a trump?

Other slang options are to "puff" or to "guff".
