The next Cash Set. Help! I need a $5 chip ideas! (1 Viewer)

Hey, @ChaosRock , in regards to having multiple color spots together ... would the 4D14 count?

Oh, yeah Jeff, it would work. Although 4D14 might look a bit too "naked" compared with the $1s and $25s.

I'll play around with the Factory when I'm back home...

My favorite thing to do on here, come up with mockups for custom sets! Here is my idea for a $5 to fit in with the other cool chips.

I am no master chip designer like a bunch of you but I do know that gray and pink always look good together.

here are a few ideas using Paulo's spot pattern.

I normally love white chips, but that gray looks so good in that combo.

.25c, 5c.

None of the 1s really match the other denoms well - they aren't colorful enough.
While the .25s and 5s carry a fairly warm look, the 1s are cold as ice.

Jeff,

Love you work so far!

LOVE the $1 and $25 Jeff! And as Rhodeman said, the gray looks way better than the while with those soits for the $1 IMO.

Now, just a bit of food for thought: Both $1s and $25s have different colors combining for the spots. I would personally tend to have the $5s with multiple color spot as well, not separate but together, like the other two chips.

Adding on here. You've used cool tone a lot with your $1 and $25, so I think you need to go a little warm on the five. A red base is good. Green/orange and possibly yellow hues will work best I think. There is some hesitation with red/orange/green for sure, but its been done with striking results. Check out the nooksack $5 chip for reference point. (defunct WA casino). To tone it down, a variant of the old Taj Majal $5 also suits the bill and uses white. That means using that awesome gray on the $1. Hope that is helpful. Love this part! Have fun!!!

Good thoughts. The red/green combos are killing me. Each time I try it it makes me think of Christmas. I’ve started to play with green and yellows on the 20, so there’s a chicken/egg thing going on there. I also have the 100 yet to do. But this set needs to push me outside my normal bias.

Like it. I've found it's hard to leave your comfort zone. Some great chips out there waiting to be conjured up. I do like building a set around a chip you absolutely love though. It can be frustrating as you know, especially when you are "wedged" like you are now.

The $100 is a placeholder right now, but what does everyone think of the first four chips...

Jeff that 5 is fn awesome!! and I love the 1. To me it seems a bit off having three denoms with the same edge spot pattern and one that is different ( Totally just thought of Sesame Street lol)
just my opinion.

Another iteration (including a look at changing the $5 3TA316 spot per Mtvernonbryan)

2nd row for me.
Based there, I would make the 5 a 4V12 and the 20 a 6D18, NOT just to save money - they would look even better, IMO always.

I think row one 5 and row two 1 are the best of the bunch!!

The problem with the prior 4v12 $5 is that I think it's too much yellow from the side. I want it to be a red chip, so I switched the spots to show more red. Here's a $100 chip. I sort of like it.

Thoughts????
