This nut just cashed out $2,600+ at $1/$2 (with a $100 max bet/raise). I’ve never seen such a thing at these stakes...

What’s the most you’ve seen cashed at $1/$2 in a casino?

*1/2 home games that play like 2/5 don’t count. :)

In a casino even I have cashed out for a 2600$.

In Icelandic 1/2 underground games it is regular to cash out for 6000-8000$

$2600 is pretty crazy at 1/2. Biggest I’ve seen at my local with $200 capped buyin is $1600.

Yea, forgot to mention, this wasn’t NL, but Colorado’s goofy $1-$2-$100 spread limit. Basically a max bet/raise of $100 each action. Makes it that much more impressive.

Wow that is hard to do at the 2-100 spread game also. He must have played and called with K5 off and K7 off for $20 pre flop vs QQ and AA respectively on a regular basis. Yes, I am bitter.

I’ve been there, @Kyle !!! :p

When the Moutaineer in WV first opened and there weren’t any casinos in PA or Ohio yet so it drew tons of people.

It wasn’t uncommon to see $4k+ stacks at $1/2 there every weekend. Players would go for 24+ hours straight. Sleeping in their car for an hour so their stacks wouldn’t get pulled off the table.

But to do it in in a game with a $100 max bet requires some serious luck!

Cherokee, NC Harrah's during the WSOP circuit the 1/2 caps at $200 buy-in. We had a 4-way all in pot for $800+. 3 players with pocket pairs and last to act was a girl with ATs and called. She won the pot with flush. Unreal.

In for $200, out for $1125ish. Random weekend at the Borg in 2013. First time I played poker while my wife spent the day at the spa and slept. Good weekend.

I don't know what people were cashing out with, but we did have some large pots like this one at the Flamingo.

I snapped this pic, because I simply couldn't believe there was ~$850 in the pot, preflop.

Folow-up pic was blurry, because I did not expect to see what prople were jamming all-in with.

Seat 2 held :7c::4c:. Seat #4 held :kc::qc:, and Seat #5 with Pocket Aces. Board ran out :6c::2c::ac: :5s: :th:.

I get playing AA to the hilt, and 7-4 was drunk as shit (and had a wad of rapidly diminishing cash), but in what world do you shove pre with KQ?

I guess the answer is the world where I build this inside of an hour...

I can't believe the KQ flopped the nut flush. Aces flop a set and still lost. I bet they were pissed.

Seat two still had runner-runner outs to the straight flush, but still... what a completely ridiculous line. Booze'll do that to ya. :p

PS: nice stack!!!!

Get me in this game. Ha ha. Damn

I watched a player take his $200 buy-in at $1/$3 last week to $3500 in 8 hours. Cashing out for 17.5x your buy-in is really impressive. I am looking forward to sitting down at the table with him again.

the best i can remember is a couple of weeks ago waiting for the 6:15pm tournament to start. Sat down with $160 and cashed out for $780 in 45 minutes (was a little late to the tournament finishing the orbit).

the best part of this story is i ended up shipping the tournament as well. won $3550 after chopping 4 ways

I remember an underground game about 9 years ago, the table ended up 4 handed with every player having over 4K each. They didn’t want to raise the blinds and kept it 1/2. There was one drunk college fish who kept reloading, the game went on for hours like that.

edit: sorry, missed the op were it said no home games, implying casino games.

Cheating a bit but I've seen £12k in a £1/£2 PLO at The Vic in London

2nd biggest was just over £8k in Coventry. Pic below:

One time in an underground poker club in NYC I was playing all night and cashed out for like $2,000 after only buying in for $200 in a 1-2 game. There was not rake, but every 1/2 hour or hour(I can't remember) they collected a $5 seat fee or something. I went in there at 6PM after work on a Friday and walked at 8AM Saturday tired but happy. Fortunately or Unfortunately I can no longer do those things anymore. That night I was catching sets like crazy, had a few full houses and had four sevens twice. I could not get a bad hand that night. The other players were getting good hands too, but I had just amazing cards. It was the sickest run I went on ever in one session. This was like over 10 years ago. That was my largest cash out in 1-2. Legally in a casino probably it was close to $1000.

The most I've ever seen anyone walk out with was at the Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, NV. I was at a one two table I had been playing there for a while and built my stack to about $800. There were a few people at the table just dumping money to everyone and re-buying supplying us others with some decent sized stacks. There were two other Gentleman there with about $500-$700 and another guy with about $1000. On this hand I had AK of Diamonds. One Guy had like Pocket 7's, another guy pocket 9's and the guy with the big Stack pocket J's. It gets raised to about 15 pre-flop and their are 4 us in the Pot. Would you believe the Flop came 7, 9, J all Diamonds. It hit us all. One of the players bet like 75, the Big stack said all in, then the other guy called, I of course called, and the initial raiser called. We had like 2500 or something in the Pot. When everyone flipped over their cards I was elated. The only thing that could beat me is if the Dealer gave someone four of a kind or paired the board. The dealer turns a 2 and I thought to myself no worries it's only a two. Then the Dealer burns and turns over the river it is another 2. The Big stack wins. The dealer whom I got to know because I played their for a few days straight apologized to me a few times. I told him it's ok its poker and part of the game. I was dejected, because of the Pot I could of won, but bought in for another $200. I didn't really win or loose that $200 and just broke even with that, but the big stack won quite a few more hands and I would say walked about with about $3000-$3500. It was the craziest hand I was every involved with at 1-2.
