More details here...

I read that article awhile back when I was searching for Terrible's memorabilia. Such a nice looking Yacht. That boat is basically your neighbor Tommy... now I don't want to hear reports on the news of someone stealing Mr. Terrible signage off a yacht at night lol... unless you send some to me :)

LOL...If it does say Dover Del, probably has the boat registered here for tax/fee purposes. A lot of companies registered their trailers in select states for similar reasons.

This yacht is registered in Delaware. Too bad it has never been anywhere near Delaware. lol

If it showed up I'd be the guy getting arrested for breaking and entering lol

LOL. While your getting arrested, I'll be in scuba gear getting away with that chrome Mr. Terrible. ;)

I gotta say, every time I read this thread, this pops into my head. Somehow, I can see Tommy and Mr. Cheese acting like this on this yacht...

(warning: lip readers may be offended, and may be considered NSFW in some places...)

Looks like we can charter it...Wonder if they take chips. ;)

Wow... they even have Terrible Towels! Owner must be from Pittsburg. :D

I think the father is from IL. That is where he started the biz and opened their first gas station.

Sent from my Galaxy Note 3.

Sorry... the "Terrible Towel" thing was a bad Pittsburg Steelers reference that you might not get if you weren't watching football back in the early 70's! =)

I was not watching football in the 70's but knew what you meant. The font was familiar too.

Those Terrible towels always show up on my searches when I'm trying to find more Terrible's items lol

Forgive my ignorance, what is the significance of Mr. Terrible? Is that named after a casino? Is it a type of chip? A manufacturer or chips? I see it all over the forum and I don't know what it means.

:D :D :D OK, I'll cut you some slack since you only have 15 posts here so far!

Terrible's Mark Twain Casinos had a lot of different chips from their various casinos that certain people on this forum (I won't name names!) appear to have a physical addiction to!

Brand new here and brand new to poker chips in general. I do see that a lot of posts have Terrible chips in them so I just assumed it was a very common chip or at least very common to own.

While not "rare", I wouldn't call them "very common", or a "very common chip to own".

I WOULD call them, "a very common addiction among PCF members".

While I have a few Terrible's chips myself, I don't count myself among the addicted. I might add that I haven't customized yachts, re-modeled basements, or built anything that can be described as a "shrine" for ANY of the chip sets that I own! Not that there's anything wrong with any of that. :D

The Herbst family started in the gas and oil industry. They had slot machines in their gas stations. They eventually bought multiple casinos in Nevada and a few other states including Terrible's St. Jo Frontier (St. Jo, MO) and Terrible's Mark Twain (Lagrange, MO). Those two casinos re-branded, among others, and their chips became available to the home market thanks to the hard work by Jim @ The ChipRoom.

This was the info I was looking for! Thanks

Yeah, it is a cool pic! I just want to know how Cheese is going to fit that thing in his curio cabinet, though! :p

LOL!

Cheese... I found where the Mr. Terrible emblem is located. There must be one on each side, so no dibs on this one!

MR. Terrrible in the Bahamas. Still flying the Herbst flag. I think it was sold in 2012.

MR. Terrible now called USHER. :(

Homegrown mogul/playboy Michael Saylor lives like the characters of “Entourage” — well, at least enough to make his Miami-based yacht the backdrop for parts of the movie version of the HBO show.Last week, the cast, including Adrian Grenier and Kevin Dillon, shot some scenes aboard a posh boat called Usher. And what scenes they were: topless women (among them, Sports Illustrated supermodel Nina Agdal) and flutes of bubbly, according to Celebuzz — you know, just an average day on the high seas for the “Entourage” guys.
Turns out, Usher is the new name of the behemoth craft Saylor bought last year, a 154-footer formerly called “Mr. Terrible.” Usher can accommodate 10 guests in 5 suites and boastsamenities like exotic carved woodwork, multiple bars, and an “opulent hand hammered copper soaking tub,” according to its rental listing.
The founder of Tysons Corner-based tech company MicroStrategy said when he purchased the floating party pad last year (asking price was $31.5 million) that he planned to change the name. And the new moniker wasn’t inspired by the R&B star of the same name. Instead, it was apparently named after one of the crown jewels in Saylor’s enterprise: ”Usher is a mobile identity platform that delivers biometric-caliber security to every application and business process across the enterprise,” the company’s website reads. Um, OK.

Sad, I wonder what he did with all the Mr. Terrible stuff on it. I hope they didn't toss that stuff!

I can see the head lines now. Two men arrested for stealing sign off yacht. They were found by google search result lead authorities to a discussion on a poker chip forum
