The Boulevard Sample Set Order Thread (3 Viewers)

Got my sample set on Saturday and all I can say is wow! They are incredible. I wish I could have ordered like 1000 of them! The 20 and 100 are my favorite.

I'm still going to send you the replacement set and refund via PayPal just been swamped.
Nothing against bmh, but I am using this experience as a learning exercise as to how to properly ship. My sample set came in right away from him, but when my donkwoods custom CPC set comes in I will be sending them all out via flat rate boxes with tracking

Trust me, you want to learn from my experience :)

1 sample set in a small flat rate box is mega-ultra-overkill. You can easily and safely ship sample sets in bubble mailers sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard. I have shipped and received hundreds (possibly >1000) of chips - including some that were quite valuable and/or collectible - this way with no issue *knock on wood*

Flat rate boxes might be a bit of overkill, IMO. I've mailed small sets of chips well over 100 times using either #000 or #00 padded envelopes and securing the chips inside, with no delivery failures, no reports of mangled envelopes, and no missing chips. I've probably received at least that many sample sets and collectible casino chips that were sent the same way. The only time I received a broken chip is when the shipper put a bunch of loose chips in the padded envelope.

Use the correct postage (the first-class package rate) and wrap the chips securely before placing them in the padded envelope. Tape the flap down just in case. Padded envelopes and package-rate postage will keep the envelope out of the sorters that can really do a number on a regular envelope. It's about half the cost (or less) of a small flat-rate box.

abby and links have it down. Shipments of 18 or fewer chips don't require a SFRB to be mailed safely. Properly-prepared bubble mailers work just fine, and can be purchased for around 50c each.

But do you have the advantage of free tracking with bubble mailers? I have already included the sfrb into my cost for the sample sets, so that is the route I plan to take.

I think people like to track their own packages and sweat them as they arrive

When I sent out the CPS samples (25 bubble envelopes, 10 SFRBs), the receipt had tracking numbers for everything.

If I recall correctly, this is the case if you prepare the label and pay for the postage at usps.com. Postage is usually a little this way, too.

Nothing received here yet either, unfortunately. You did send to my address in Canada, right?
I think I sent it to your WA address on accident. Could you check with someone there?
Hmm, that's a possibility. I wasn't expecting it there, so it might actually have been there a while already. Do you recall when you sent it?
About 3-4 weeks ago.

Yeah, sigh. It turns out the unexpected "letter" that was waiting for me over the border was a Postage-Due notification from USPS, $1.62 owing and "Final Notice" dated April 15. I would have happily paid the $1.62 but I never got the chance.

Have they made their way back yet? I'm assuming they've been Returned To Sender by now, but who knows.

Haven't received them yet I'll let u know

Any news? I paid up front for a sample set, and paid what you requested for international shipping, then you shipped them to the wrong address with insufficient postage. Can I get a refund if not the chips?

Gear,

Sorry about that last I knew you were going to check if they were at your other address. I think I have a set left over let me check and I'll let you know. (Otherwise yes, refund for sure)
