Here's some ideas on how you can use a set of Big Easy chips!

It's a great option for a travel set! Physically durable and temperature resistant, relatively light weight.

Need microstakes? Take your base cash set, and divide every denomination by 10 when cashing out! Effectively $0.10/$0.50/$2.50/$10!

Can do special breakdowns for a T1 base tournament set! For example, a single table T500 set starting with 1/2 blinds (250BB) can be made with:
- 10/8/10/2 stacks (300 chips for 10 players) for high efficiency stacks, add some T100 for colour-up and rebuys
- 15/17/12/1 stacks (440 chips for 10 players) for BIGGER stacks, add as many T25 and T100 for colour-up and rebuys as you like!

Canadians and Europeans! Even more savings can be realized if two sets are shipped to one destination! Two buddies living relatively close by can split up a 1000 chip order without too much difficulty - and we can customize each breakdown as needed!

Congratulations and many thanks to you, @ravs , for the set you are purchasing as gift to your father and his cardplaying friends! See, folks, it's just *that* easy to qualify for your discounts!

Nothing says "I love you" better than a Christmas stocking full of high quality poker chips! See posts 1 and 2 for ideas that would make you the best Santa this holiday season has ever seen! Remember: discounts available when gifting for others (doesn't have to be a forum member).

Your sales advertise free cut cards - Is there a way to purchase just the cut cards? Sorry but not a fan of Bud Jones, but man those cut cards look GREAT

Get into the spirit of Christmas with a chipset-filled stocking! A shipping and gift discount also gets you on Santa's "NICE" list! And another special holiday deal added!

Anybody that's looking for a craps set, that 1200 chip breakdown is pretty darn good, and an excellent price. Love these chips! They were a hit at Thanksgiving with my wife's family!

Asking for a friend, if somebody has bought stuff from you in the past and it’s cheaper now because of the sale, are you going to refund the difference?

No, but if they buy more then they will get a bigger discount on this sale purchase. It's our way of saying thank you to the early adopters.

No, most will not or cannot refund. However many businesses will provide you a credit equal to the difference to be used on new purchases. Also, in retail there is usually a grace period backstop of something like only for orders in the past 30 days.

So if somebody sells these for more than the same price to a second individual should they send the profit back to the OP? My post was a subtle joke about an incredibly stupid post in the chip rooms sale. I figured the OP knew what I was talking about and would roll with the joke. Sometimes you pay for the privilege of being first and ensuring what you want is there by paying a higher price at the beginning. If they go on sale later that’s the chance you take for that privilege. Don’t whine about the price later after gloating about what you got earlier.

I wasn't aware of the other post, but regardless, I think it is not bad practice to provide the credit to recent customers after a new promotion takes effect. It is just another way to drive recurring business. It is basically a coupon. If they resold it, who cares. I don't run their life/business and that is a consequential act I cannot control.

To your second point, sure you may pay for first in line or to guarantee getting something with limited stock. I have purchased things to get them on time even though I knew a sale was coming shortly. And anybody can ask for a credit if the price later drops. Asking is not getting. The business will make the decision that is in their best interest. Some say yes, some say no. On site sales during Black Friday are a good example. The answer is no because they were "paying" for increased foot traffic in the store.

As to gloating and whining, people do it all the time. Fuggedaboudit.

I must have missed something in the Chip Room sale thread, so I had no context to interpret the question. It did sound like a jest. But believe it or not, I do think about how price differences are perceived over time, and that's why the discounts are there. Really, we're just trying to get the best chips out there at the best price we can. I mean, how much profit can there be at 60 cents or less per chip (for unplayed Bud Jones S2), with a shipping discount? International buyers always seem to get screwed on shipping and import taxes and whatnot - we're trying to level the playing field a bit.

Yeah, S2s, I believe... The nicest ones, according to many.
I have never experienced any Bud Jones chips so wouldn't know! I'm interested, but not sure how a split would work though. There are not enough higher denoms for a T25 tournament and I typically play 0.25/0.25 or 0.25/0.50 cash where there aren't enough fracs? Thoughts?

Yeah, think we'd have to go the cash set route (which is what I am looking to do anyway, along with a label over / murder job).

I play 0.25 / 0.25, too, and find that 100 fracs is more than enough for a table of up to 10 people; could use the greens as fracs and take a rack each?

I was then thinking a rack each of the whites to work as £1 chips, then the red and blacks split respectively as £5 and £20s?

I have two racks of Dark Brown manufactured quarters on BJR4 roulettes to go with these other sets.

You are correct that we cannot make T25 base tournament sets with the chips we have left. However, T1 base sets can be made as is, and T5 base sets can be made with some modifications.

I'd be happy to discuss options with you by PM.
