which one do you guys think is the best one for $150 or under I need one of these bad hand cleaning is starting to hurt lol
what type of chemical do you use ?Splurge and go for the big one: https://www.amazon.com/Tek-Motion-S...rds=ultrasonic+cleaner&qid=1629176804&sr=8-15
You can do a rack at a time with one of these and don't need to make any special salad spinner or wear gloves. Just fill with 2 gallons of water + chemical and shake the basket like you are panning for gold.
so just 2 gallons of water 8 tablespoons of that set the water how close the top and how long does it have to go for just getting sick of hand cleaning chips starts to hurt after a while lol
cool thanks for the info man I appreciate it2 gallons makes the big one about half full, which is where you want it so you can shake the basket without getting your hands wet and covered in chemical. 1 gallon hot water, 1 gallon cold puts it close to the temp that I need, then just set the temp so it stays there (45). Each chip takes a different amount of time, so test a barrel first. I do most of mine a rack at a time for 1.5 minutes. You can get some clean in 45 seconds if you are only doing a few at a time. Other chips have to go in three or more times depending on how dirty they are. In general the standard casino grime comes off pretty quick, but the dirt that is stuck in the top hat indentions takes a little longer.
he was talking about getting a 15l so u can do a Rack at one timeWhy are you guys using so much water? I barely use 3/4 gallon in my 6L Vevor because that's already a bit over 3L. I use about 3 tbsp of metasilicates. Zero splashing when using the salad spinner and 2 barrels of chips at a time.

I typically don't use super hot water. I start with 'warm-hot' tap water, not the hottest tap water. When I do that, I don't even need to use the ultrasonic's built-in heaters -- those turn off and on separately.and using these with the super hot water wont mess up Paulson chips at all ?
yeah I am trying to avoid TSP if I can I want a cleaner that if it was to get on me my skin isnt gonna get f'd up lolI typically don't use super hot water. I've cleaned thousands of Paulsons in an ultrasonic. Anywhere from 1 to 3 minutes (or more) in the ultrasonic is typically fine for most Paulsons, assuming not too strong of a TSP cleaning solution, -- some caveats:
- some chips might be prone to water getting under the inlay
- some hotstamps might flake away, others will hold up fine, in the ultrasonic, so I'd always recommend testing out a chip or two first, if you can.
- some darker colors might start to get a little faded under extremely long soaks and/or very strong TSP solutions, so start small and test, and don't overdo it.
TSP isn't going to melt your skin & if you are worried about it, buy yourself a pair of vinyl/rubber protective gloves.what do people use that wont melt you're skin off if it gets on you lol to clean the chips
I know its not gonna melt my skin off thats just a joke but theres got to be somethin out there that cleans well that isnt that TSP stuffTSP isn't going to melt your skin & if you are worried about it, buy yourself a pair of vinyl/rubber protective gloves.
It doesn't really smell either. If you have ever stripped a peice of wood furniture and used the chemicals to do that or acetone, now that is stinky stuff. Aerosol paint is stinky stuff too and all should be done with good ventilation or outdoors. TSP..... not so much
Pretty sure that the TSP cleaners basically turn the grease and finger fudge on poker chips from fat to soap via saponification?I know its not gonna melt my skin off thats just a joke but theres got to be somethin out there that cleans well that isnt that TSP stuff
I think I am going with this one with a $10 off coupon its $144 for a 10l looks pretty nicePretty sure that the TSP cleaners basically turn the grease and finger fudge on poker chips from fat to soap via saponification?
Yup. It's the sweet spot with a salad spinner that fits and keeps the chips fully submerged 95% of the time.how many chips can u do with a 6l at one time like 40 ?
