Sorry it's taken so long to get these pictures posted, but here they finally are. :)

I introduced this set a few months ago, for more information one the about how I chose the chip colors/spots, theme & inlay, check out the design & background thread here. However, for as excited as I was to introduce the set then, I left a little extra reveal for the pron thread. I actually designed this set as two sets - primaries and secondaries. Obviously this wasn't done in the traditional casino primary/secondary sense for security reasons. But rather, I thought it would be neat to have two different sets, each playable for a two table tournament, but similar enough that they could be combined in case I ever got the chance to run a larger 3-4 table tournament, like a PCF meet up ;) Plus, in the course of developing various mock-ups for this set, I had a few chip variants that I *really* liked, but just didn't fit with the rest of the lineup, so this allowed me to get those as well. :ROFLMAO: Anyways, without further ado, I present "The Barrel House"

Primary set:

T25 - DG Green 3V12 Retro Green / DG Yellow

Shots of the entire set together:

And some side be side comparisons of each primary / secondary denomination:

The two sets were designed so that they could be combined to form one large set for bigger games. For the most part, I accomplished this by keeping the base colors the same and slightly tweaked the edge spot colors and/or spot pattern. The only chip that didn't follow this pattern was the secondary T500, I really liked the light green & retro lavender combo on the secondary (joker chip!), and couldn't come up with an alternative closer to the primary T500 that I really liked. But all the other chips followed this pattern. Here are some shots of each denomination mixed together:

In designing this set, one of the the concerns I had was trying to avoid any dirty stack issues, especially between the black and blurple chips. I ran through this graphical exercise before placing the order:

Below are the real life comparisons. We've had two tourneys, and so far there doesn't appear to be an issue between any of the chips.

The only two chips where I may have an issue is mixing the primary T100 with the secondary T500 for big games. But IMHO this one slight overlap to make two sets that I really really liked was worth it:

Hahaha you have a secondary set. You kept that one quiet.

Fantastic effort though. I love both sets, the inlay, colour and spot choices are top notch.

If I had to choose, I think the primary is my favourite.

Beautiful sets! Can you post a picture of both sets next to each other? Would love to see them together.

Will do, I have more pics I'll post soon.

...and no samples to be found :(

They look great, though...congrats!

Yes, sorry but no samples, I know this disappoints a lot of folks. It probably sounds silly, but I really have a personal connection to my customs, I spent a tremendous amount of time and energy into developing them, and I'd like to keep them special for me and my poker group. It's nothing personal to anyone on PCF. I may offer a sample at some point, but if so it'll be for a charity auction or something like that.

Pictures don’t do the Primary T500 justice. They are stunning on the table.

And that secondary 5k.... good grief.

These are spectacular!! What’s the story on the 20k and 25k chips in each set?

Indecision and laziness on future planning

I typically run t10k games where neither will see the felt. However I wanted the abiltity to run both T20k and T25k deep stack tourneys in case I actually get my act together and host a meetup or larger game. I couldn't decide which denomination would better handle those games, so I took advice from PCF addicts and got both. Either/or would be in play for a given game, not both. More chipes....

The primary $25k must be based off the Lakeshore $5.

Amongst the best customs ever IMHO.

Almost all of the chips are inspired in some shape or form from other sets, the primary 5k is probably one of the more direct rip offs.... :cautious: inspired by the Lakeshore $1, one of my favorite chips.

I noticed that more on Friday too, when you had this giant stack in front of you at the end of the night  :ROFLMAO:

I was really torn on using both black and blurple (2 of my favorite cpc colors) for the t100 and t500, given how close in color they are. I had an alternate t500 planned with retro lavender in case they were too close. But with the differing spot patterns and colors, I think these contrast even where dirty stacks haven't been a big problem.

That result may or may not have swayed my opinion.... :D

In my CPC travels thus far over the past couple months, I had overlooked Blurple as a base color. Not anymore. After playing with these, I'd likely use it as a T500 myself (instead of Retro Lavender), or if I ever build a cash set, it might be my new frontrunner for a $20.

More pictures have been added to the 2nd and 3rd posts in this thread. :)
