I was ecstatic to find these recently, as I've always wanted a near mint THC mold tourney set with oversized chips, but after completing my relabel tourney set that will handle MTTs, I've realized I can't afford to keep two tourney sets, as pretty as these are :( I've never seen a playable set of these chips anywhere online and I've done some digging, so I'd wager this is the only playable set in existence, especially in this condition. Chips are excellent to near mint, I don't believe they've ever seen play, but have a fair amount of color transfer and flea bites that look to have been obtained in shipping/travel/storage as the original pics I saw showed them all loose in a cardboard box  (The only exception is the $500s which are lightly casino used and show some slightly rounded edges and wear). All the 39mm chips weigh between 9.6g-10.6g depending on the color and the 43mm $1ks are about 12.6g, definitely good old heavy LCV THCs. I've cleaned all the edges with a magic eraser to get rid of some of the color transfer spots, and lightly oiled them.

Breakdown - perfect for a single table tourney with varying stacks from T1k- T5k
120 x $5
100 x $25
130 x $100
90 x $500
50 x $1000 (43mm)

490 chips total

The colors of the $500 and $1000 include metal flakes, looks like brass flakes in Hawaii Flower for the $500 base color with Gray edgespots and Showboat Gray edgspots with silver metal flakes. The $1k is an Arc Yellow base with brass flakes mixed in and Blaze Orange and Black w/ silver metal flakes - see closeup pics.

I'd bid but I'm poor. But these are worth more than that PCA set that just sold like $2100 in raffle tickets. IMO of course.

What some receive from proceeds of a raffle is not indicative of true value of the set. ;) Raffles have become a way for the overpriced sets to exploit the fools, bargain hunters, and the dreamers :p

Now back to an awesome auction for a great set of chips....

What you mean like listing a set for $2200, getting no buyers, taking $300 worth of chips out and selling $2100 worth of raffle tickets? Right.
Sorry for the continued threadjack rant. Free bump. Gorgeous Paulsons! Happy Thanksgiving!

Are there multiple IHC molds? Because that $1000 looks different to me than the Cle $1k and $5k for example. Maybe it's just inlay size that's throwing me, but I don't think so. Seems like there's more space between the hats and the edge, and between the hats and the recess.
Anyway, they're gorgeous.

Not to thread jack, but a post is a bump, and I thought an interesting coincidence. Just had our first son born this AM at 12:31. Name is Sterling Charles :)
Makes me think seriously about a bid on these
Glws!
Congratulations! I hope you new addition and your wife are doing well. Enjoy Thanksgiving with you family!

Nah, it's just a small inlay.

All the Sterling 39mm chips have a 7/8" aka Standard inlay. There are two different style 43mm IHC molds. The older one has more space between the recess and hats.
The Sterling $1ks are on the older style IHC mold and appears to be using the smaller 7/8 inlay.

Though it does look smaller (optical illusion maybe), but I am not aware of any inlay smaller than 7/8".

Newer style w/ Grand Inlay 1-1/16"

Older style - w/ Grand Inlay 1-1/16" or maybe Standard (OS) 15/16"

There is something wrong with my brain that every time on the classifieds I read "auction" and interpret "raffle." Probably wishful thinking.

Super fly set!
