So I looked up and noticed today that I was pretty close to my 1000th post and I did not want to use that milestone on just any thread. So I decided that this post should be a thank you post to the community. I am going to name a few names and will most likely forget some names but it is not intentional.
So here goes my 1000th post to thank those in the community.
First of all I would like to thank @Tommy for this great forum. He is always there either lurking or answering questions. Also thank you for the wonderful give-aways you have. This is the site that I really felt home at and it is because of the great staff so I need to add @Mr. Cheese and @Trihonda for their help during my journey.
Thank you to the site vendors for their contributions to the community and also the great prizes for the give-aways
@BGinGA for all of the great input he gives to all of the members of the forum. We are lucky to have chippers like you willing to share their knowledge.
I cannot forget @DrStrange who helped me with chip choices early on and was always there with great advice. Also for his great break down of poker and and betting strategy and for hosting a great game.
@H|Q for helping me complete one of my cash sets with GV 1's and 500's that I searched and searched for and also for making the Trops available. All of these at reasonable prices.
@liftapint who gave me a GV Button (Yes I remember). I even offered to reimburse shipping but she would not let me.
@surferb who sent me a barrel of chips at no cost to help me with a set.
@AK Chip which I actually met on CT and convinced him to come over here. He helped with trades and sales of GV's which also helped me top off my go to cash set.
@sleepypiggly who has been great for advice and also getting me closer to completing my edge sample set.
@RagsPoker for the harvesting chips
@David Spragg for his contributions to the community and the very nice free commemorative chips
And then there is @abby99, @bentax1978 , @Gear, @Shaggy, @Psypher1000, @detroitdad, @pltrgyst, @atomiktoaster, @Apache, @slisk250, @softchewy and I could go on. Each of you have had a part of my journey so far in my chip collecting. I know I can never repay each of you but I will always remember you folks. With out this community I would not have been able to gather the knowledge or the chips I currently have. I know I have a long way to go to even come close to the knowledge here and will continue to learn and hope someday repay this by giving back to the community as each of you have done.
As I said early I may have left some folks out but thats what happens after you turn 50!!! Please know that even if I did leave you out you are part of the community that I have learned from and truly enjoy. I look forward to the contiuance of my journey in this crazy hobby of CHIP FEVER. I mean Chip Collecting.
