We here in Texas got what we wished for, what we deserve. No need for prayers. God is just clearing out the deadwood around here.

Bet you folks in Wisconsin don't freeze in the dark, shivering eating dog food and wondering how to flush the toilet. Why? Because it seems obvious to insulate the pipes and build shelters over the valves, etc.

We Texas saved money every month on our bills. The utilities raked it in. And now that it got cold, well it will not stay cold that long.

Your well wishes are welcome of course. But please no pity. This is exactly what the people of Texas signed up for.

but i agree with @DrStrange

this is something we deserved as we failed to keep our energy providers up to the task, they did not do any updates after the 2011 storm that did the same thing, maybe we will learn and they will update and fix the power stations so this wont happen in 10 years when it happens again

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and you will see empty shelves in the plumbing area

Lots of people will be going back into and adding more insulation in their homes, epically around pipes

Yes sadly weather history only goes back so far! Indeed Texas gets winter! Shame on the utilities for playing the short like the hedge funds! unfortunately they will play the victims and be bailed out by GOV and You guys the customers. they wont suffer and will probably replace all broken shit with like and play the short again! No pity Doc! just feel bad...
