Tell me your favourite things to do in Vegas (1 Viewer)

Definitely go to Fremont Street in the evening. They often have multiple bands playing different types of music in various locations. Very cool to wander around with a giant beer in hand.

Brunch - DEFINITELY the Bacchanal Buffet Brunch at Caesars. It's a bit pricey, $39 during the week and I thing $49 or $59 on Sunday. BUT it is AWESOME!!

Good burgers and excellent outdoor seating - Guy Fieri's in the Linq.

Dinner - I have not been in a couple years, but the Wynn buffet was AMAZING!! It was $60ish per person when I went, but it is easily $150 meal. I had filet minion and it was delicious. AND they have a dessert room, not just a buffet.

Drinks. Depends on what ambiance you like. The Cosmo is nice. For people watching, cheap premium drinks, and decent prices good food, I like to go to this place

http://www.ocean1grille.com/pos/register/o1.asp?companyid=5

It's in the Miracle Mile Mall next to Planet Hollywood. $10 for 3 premium drinks. (Scroll to the bottom of the menu in the link). I also like this place for breakfast.

I used to go to the Hash House, but the food and drinks have been a bit disappointing the last couple of times I went. And the damn line is out the door, unless you have a VIP card :)

For poker, I generally hang out at Harrah's for cash, and I like the Aria for tournaments. I HATE Bally's tournaments because it's just a stupid shove fest. The Aria runs a deep stack tournament around 2pm, $120ish buy in. Planet Hollywood also has a good tournament.

For shows. Got no idea :)

Have a GREAT time my friend!!

Things I’d like advice on.

Great burgers (other than in-n-out)
Great bars (I heard there’s a secret one in the cosmo)
Adventure type activities
Whatever random stuff you’d recommend

I’ve already booked my Canyon helicopter tour and I’m thinking of other things around Vegas I should do.

We are thinking of going on the stratosphere rides, but I’ve heard they are a bit crap. Is it worth it?

I also heard the container Park is cool downtown.

In terms of cheap eats:
-Earl of Sandwhich - inside Planet Hollywood
-Shake Shack (it is like In N Out but focused more on shakes) - inside NYNY
-and of course In n Out

The bar in cosmo is cool to go with your wife and grab a cocktail. It is a fun experience but just be prepared to pay 13-20 per drink.

If you want to just drink for cheap Ocean One inside the miracle mile shops in Planet Hollywood has stiff drinks 3 for $10 which is an unheard of deal on the Vegas strip.

If you want to hit some cool spots then I recommend heading off strip. Anything on strip will be horribly overpriced.

- Frankies Tikis Room
- Herbs n Rye

I haven't been to those 2 listed above but they were on my list and they look really cool.

A good buffet option is Wicked Spoon way at the back of Cosmo. Really good single serve buffet style food. This is the best buffet in town IMO.

Also for a quick and tasty breakfast try Eggslut in Cosmo. The line is long for a reason.

 :ROFLMAO: Reminds me of the time I went to Las Vegas on a guys trip. When we arrived, we went straight to the room for a drink. I was asking all the guys what they wanted to do during the trip. My buddy, who was in the Navy for 20 years and had been everywhere, had never been to Las Vegas. He says, "You know what I want to do? A couple of midgets." --- Totally deadpan. Once I could stop laughing, I asked him, "Why a couple of midgets?" He says, again, with a straight face, "Because one would be weird."

Been to Vegas 10 times and I still love walking through the best places - Wynn / Encore, Venetian / Palazzo, Caesars, Bellagio, Bellagio conservatory, Aria, Cosmo

Venetian gondola ride – it's kinda cheesy but probably worth doing once with your wife

Couple places that I haven’t been but are supposed to be cool -
Top Golf behind MGM
Eataly inside the Park MGM

For a quick low cost lunch that’s a little different, I highly recommend Jaburrito across the Linq Promenade from In and Out burger ~ $12 burrito bowls with Japanese influence
https://www.jaburritos.com/menu-linq-promenade/

Harrahs Piano Bar - for just hanging out and having a beer – dueling pianos, Fat Elvis, Sax Man Duo, karaoke - place just has a good fun vibe

Casino Royale - $2 Michelobs / $1 roulette

I think you ended up booking Cosmo – make sure to grab drinks / snacks for the room at CVS – on the south side just across the street using the elevated walkway.

I second Absinthe as a fun show.

Mon ami Gabe at Paris is my favorite breakfast. I usually sandwich it between 2 blackjack/ Paris $1chip harvesting sessions.

Burger Lounge in Aria, and Earl of sandwich at PH are both high quality, lowish price lunch options.

Pools are fun.

Hash House can be incredible or very underwhelming depending on what you get. If you go with basic eggs and pancakes it average and over priced.

But if you get a shareable plate like Andy’s Sage Fried Chicken it a incredible!!! And be sure to wash it down with the BLT Bloody Mary. It is a must for me every trip.

100% agreed. We have a Hash House in Orlando now, so it's lost the Only in Vegas appeal, but it's still by far the best chicken and waffles I've ever had, and most meals are enough to serve two with a bit left over to take home.

Yeah, it is very scenic. Willow Beach is not too far (opposite side of the river) from where the (Southern Nevada Land Cruisers) Burro Wash Rd run terminates.

I went down last weekend and went to the Neon Museum for a second time. They have added a night show called The Brilliant Experience which is an amazing show. My family went just because they know how much I love neon and they all were talking about how incredible the Brilliant Experience part of the show was.

We also walked down Fremont which was busy with two bands playing and people riding zip lines overhead. There is a place just down the street called Container Park that is a business complex made out of steel shipping containers. It has some cool bars and a BBQ place. We got there right before closing so we just walked around but it was really cool. There is even a flame throwing praying mantis out front!

I really enjoyed walking around the Venetian as well as the Bellagio Chinese New Year Display.

I came here to say this! Breakfast or Brunch at Mon Ami Gabi, and wait to sit outside! The atmosphere and people watching is awesome, It’s the one thing we ALWAYS do when we go to Vegas.

Saw someone mention Ka at MGM, that was our favorite show we’ve ever seen there.

Besides that I love just taking it all in. Walk the strip, in through every resort

I think this may be the first time that I heard Harrah's game recommended. It always just been a table or two while I was there and seemed like kind of a pain to get a seat.

Not hating on it as I've never played there, but just wondering what do you like about it?

For some adventure and a break from the hustle, bustle & noise we had a great time kayaking the canyon at Willow Beach Marina.
It is pin drop quiet. Not sure who we booked through but a quick search and i'm sure you will find several tour companies. They picked us up and dropped us off at our strip hotel.

This looks really cool and I have never heard of it. Thanks for recommending. How was the water temperature?

We did it at the end of September and it was perfect. It was warm enough that our guide came cruising past us all and completely soaked us with his paddle.

The guide told us he would give us our money back if we didn't see Ram's on our tour. Well we didn't see any in the canyon but we stopped at this park. He told us the rams come down from the hills to this little city park every day to sit in the shade. at the end of the day they go back up in the hills.

Intersting. When were you there? I go during the Main Event (usually 1st or 2nd week in July), so there are a ton of players in Vegas. That might make a difference. Usually 3 to 5 tables and almost no wait to get a seat. I've also been in August and they always had 3 tables going. Plus...they treat my crew great!!

2 years ago, my buddy got knocked out of the Main Event. We went there and he ordered 5 shots of Patron and 5 beers for the crew. Waitress said she couldn't bring us Patron. He reached down and grabbed a barrel of $5s, dropped it on her tray and asked if that would help. She came back every 15 minutes to take care of us :) I suppose anyplace treats you well when you're throwing money at them. :)

As per the title, tell me what you think.

I’d like suggestions for the wife free portion of my trip, and the part where she joins me.
