Taj has been closed for a while now.

I know today they were having a liquidation sale, this included poker tables.

Any chance PCF getting their hands on the chips?

They now require the destruction of all chips when a casino closes. They changed the law that used to make all NJ chips redeemable forever.

An agreement needs to be worked out with the NJCG. (not likely to happen)

Under the current rules, someone (like the casino) would need to hold onto the chips until the court proceedings were over, then they could be sold. To cash in a chip from a casino that went under (after the posted time to do it at the cage) one has to go to the court and file a claim BEFORE the bankruptcy case is over. After the case if closed, the chips are worthless. This is how it was explain to me.

If they NJGC just made them worthless after the posted time to do it at the cage, it would solve the problem.

That's lame =(. That was the first place I played legal poker, I was 19.
