This composite image shows an Order Form (Record Card) of the Taylor and Company, Chicago, Illinois that reflects an order for 3 different colors of gambling chips (images of actual chips are superimposed over the Order Card) for delivery to "T. C. Lasswell" in Springfield, Illinois in early 1947. T. C. Lasswell was my Grandfather (my Mother's Dad) and he operated one or more un-licensed gambling operations in and around Springfield in the 30's and 40's.
I’m looking for more however, If any of his kin reading this are interested in having one of the yellow chips, I have spares and can send. My thanks to Kevin Lasswell for passing along a black and red version of these chips that his Dad (Roy Lasswell had).
I never met T. C. Lasswell (Tull C. Lasswell), but suspect that he was rather enterprising and interesting. -Jon
