If you aren't familiar with synthwave, here is a good primer:

Purples and pinks, magentas, blues with a green hue to them.

Thinking inlays with something like this:

Anyways, thinking about the chips in this set, looking for 5 different colors that fit the ascetic:

Looking for other color suggestions.

Very 80s. I love it. Can't wait to see the finished result. Seems like the kind of casino I'd love to play at.

There was an 80s Neon Miami Vice type colored CPC set selling on here not that long ago. I can’t remember who was selling it.
Yeah, I remember it. It suffered I think though from CPC dayglos not necessarily being that vibrant. But it has always stuck with me as a cool set that I've got in my bookmarks.

Indian blue and Aqua and then Blurple and Royal blue are going to be indistinguishable in stacks in good light, let alone poor lighting.

Something like this might work better View attachment 779033
couldn't agree more about the dirty stacks, I was more pulling out colors I thought would work, not one's I'd use together.

I like the lineup.

Oh this is right up my alley! I have thought about this too.

So this is a THC solids set?

Did you grab the Indian blue solids that were just for sale? Those are really hard to find otherwise. So is aqua. Otherwise Day Blue and Day Green are much more accessible and would still work well. Although Indian Blue is on point.

Also something simple like Purple if you can’t find Blurple which is also not terribly common.

My old solids set had Purple, Fuchsia, Day Blue, and Day Green and I had zero problems with dirty stacks. We used that set a lot and I had tested various color combos in building it and dirty stacks was never a problem. You can see if you took out the Radiant Red and swapped in the Indian Blue for the Day Green those colors would be fire. Add in a medium to dark blue and it would be lit.

I'm sitting on some day green and aqua which is kinda where I started, but I think indian blue is just a better color in this case and those are more fallback colors.

Only color I'm really trying to stay away from is orange but I can't quite put into words why. It works really well in your set, but more on the yellow side I'd say for something like this.

Looking back at this as well, I wonder if you can do this with CPC. He made some color choices because he was going more Miami, the tiger, the white and the saturn, which make sense for the design he was going with, but I may be able to take the colors in a similar but different direction.

Time to break out the CPC color samples yet again.

I think these are the colors you could work with and one of the lineup options being below.

I was out running errands this morning so I haven't gotten to pull my CPC set out yet, but I was reading through this post and only saw the first picture originally. I mentally picked 5 colors I would use, then moved further down and it's the same 5 colors. ;-)

I played with the idea of doing an 80s spoof of Ray’s Boom Boom Room from the movie LIFE with Eddie Murphy. Was going to do something with similar colors. Looks awesome. Going to be bright whatever you do!

Picture isn’t doing it justice, but I think this lineup might be a contender. View attachment 779209

Gorgeous! I know the natural inclination is to go to Peacock but Imperial is a highly underrated color. I am closely following this project because it’s right up my alley. I can help by mocking up the lineup with my photo mock-up tool once you have an inlay in the works.

Totally there with you on the imperial blue:

Very underrated but I think it begs to have spots. I think it's an amazing base color but would struggle to stand on its own next to the other dayglo colors(this may be due to my color sample being a-mold finish which I've always felt kinda dulls chips colors).

Speaking of molds, I'm of a few minds. I'm actually thinking DiaSQR or Hourglass. I've liked both molds but I know that split spots can be an issue... well... no spots! Also thinking about H-Mold, but I couldn't articulate why.
