I am interested in hearing what people predict for the Superbowl game. If anyone places bets please post your slips in this thread.

Our poker group's biggest regret over the past 9 years. Several years ago... I forget which SB... we were talking and decided to look up the longest odd bet for the SB. The bet turned out to be something like "first score by the underdog being a safety on the opening drive". We talked about it for two weeks. I forget the odds exactly but we figured if we each threw in $20 or $100 we would win over $100k and could each go to the WSOP. None of us had an easy place to make that bet so we let it slide. Of course... it hit.

Ha! I remember this as well. We were all laughing about how crazy the odds were of a safety being the first scoring points in the game. Although I have to be honest I never once considered betting that.

My philosophy of gambling is always take dog odds and the longer the better!

We were trying to get the whole group to the WSOP without needing to justify the financing. So we were on the lookout for a bet to get the whole gang there.

If you bet it and made it to the WSOP then it would have been one helluva story.

I've been a 49er fan for 30 years and watched every game they have played for 21 years. I don't think they match up well against the Chiefs and would pick the Chiefs at -1.5. 49ers should be able to run the ball and score points, but Mahomes' mobility , KCs speed and multiple targets as well as back field speed should also be able to score. My final score prediction is 33-28. I would pick the over 53.5 points. My MVP pick would be Mahomes. If you are more bullish on the 49ers, pick Kittle as he is due for a big game and the 49ers will be passing if they win.

Has anyone checked out the Wager Lab app. It's a pretty cool, simple app for managing sports bets with friends. Would be a fun tool here to make some small, sidebet with one another here. If anyone fires it up and wants to make a couple small wagers for fun (ie as a guy in our game describes them "bets for lunch money not mortgage money") hit me up on a PM and I'll share user name with ya.
