These chips are only the fourth such set that I know of, not that I'm an expert, mind you:

• A set that Robert Eisenstadt saw on eBay and wrote about on his website. He did not buy them, but he probably would have liked to.
• A set that that eBay seller said he saw sell at "Victorian Casino Auctions" for $6,500
• A set that @Wonder1 found at a thrift shop for two dollars and posted about in the thread above
• This set that I just now spotted on eBay, listed for $1,500

I have no idea what they're worth. I don't know if anyone knows what they're worth. I think they're neat, but I personally wouldn't buy them; my Catalin collection is fine as it stands.

These aren't the sort of chips that will appeal to most of the PCF membership, but on the other hand, maybe someone here is looking for something different to add to their display cabinet. I wouldn't play with them except as a novelty; they're very light, very slick, and very awkward to handle. But then again, novelty is reason enough for the right sort of person.

If anyone here does pick them up, please let us know! Tell us what they're like once you have them in your hands.

Update, for the record:

I actually sent mine to an auction last month and was happy with the $500 they brought. The coloring did look off on these but after further review if the count (I kept a few out) and the location of the seller, I am certain they are the same set. It will be fun to see what they sell them for- I turned my 1.99 Into $500 and kept a few out so, I am good!

So. Still only three sets of these known.
