Sturm, Ruger & Company Poker chips (1 Viewer)

Hi there,

I came across these chips for sale and am curious about them. I have very limited knowledge of chips but I do know that these chips are Paulson Top Hat & Cane.

I tried a search and only saw 1 mention of these chips on this site.

I'm more curious about the origin of these chips and if anyone here has any info to share. What Google told me is that they were a company gift for some employees and distributers for SR&C in 1990. There was about 50-150 sets made.

Although almost 30 years old, these chips have never been used (i don't think anyways). I'm also curious how they get up to Wpg, MB, Canada...but I'll likely never know that one. The guy I bought them from had no clue what he had as I got them for $10.

Curious if there's more to them then that. Or if there's added value as a collectors item. Not looking to sell, just curious.

Nice pickup! They're semi-custom Paulson THCs that were sold through their home market/fantasy line (same colors as CDI, Pyramid Casino etc). I've seen 1-2 other sets sell over the last couple years, probably worth $1.50-2/chip, killer deal in any case!

Welcome to the forum. The Canadian contingent here is rather low in my opinion but maybe that is because we just don't have the populous to compare to our southern counterparts!

I haven't seen this set since CT. Glad you were able to acquire it. There have been a few fantasy/semi customs on this Paulson palette.
