I remember reading (and forgetting) that Drawmaha is draw 3 max and no burns. Is that correct? I'm thinking about introducing it to the crew. What happens if all 6 players draw 3? Shuffle the discards for the river?

6 max, up to 3. We usually don't run out of cards. If you do shuffle the burns and make that the river.

FWIW we play that you can draw all five if you like and we've played it 7 max. Rarely have we needed shuffle burns.

We tried 7 max at the DCS with a 5 card max. We never made it through 1 hand without reshuffling the deck. Of course, everyone would limp in and take 4-5 cards.

I guess this is all game dependent. If you have passive, nitty players I'm sure you'll have to shuffle the discards/burns a lot, but it's rare for us to see a limped pot. Usually at least 3-bet pre.

^Agree. We run an occasional Drawmaha tournament, max 7 players with no draw limit. No burn cards used, and it's pretty rare that the fold muck is reused for community cards (all discards and any post-flop folds are kept in separate muck pile).

...all discards and any post-flop folds are kept in separate muck pile...

Neglected to mention this which is crucial. Do not want discards or post-flop folds part of cards available to draw for obvious reasons.

And when nobody folds preflop????? :)

Yeah that's what I was getting at before. Rarely had that problem when you have two straddles, a bet, and a raise. Typically getting at least 2 or 3 folds and of those who stay you only occasionally get someone drawing 5. Happens for sure, but most draw 2 or 3.
