I am new to the forum (as you can see), but I have already gotten a taste of the rollercoaster and leaned in as they say.

I began on chiptalk looking for rounders chips and to my chagrin I just missed the TR King group. I did get in on the Samurai Palace group buy and had forgotten about that until I recently found a part of that buy. After buying those chips life changed and I stopped playing. Now I play in a a regular game and seeing those chips reawakened the urge and brought me here first as a lurker and then a member.

I came looking for Vineyard Casino chips of any type and got on the rollercoaster:

- lurked and almost bought the custom rounders set that included the NCV with the bear targeted (so fire!) but backed off when the set was split before I acted
- bought Chipco Vineyards
- was part of the Bosco group buy (he reimbursed the Kickstarter, but I made a significant PayPal add on which has not been paid back)
- made a large Scrub Donkeys group buy purchase (loved the story and even better how this was the reaction)
- bought a KGB donkey sample set
- had been in the dumps since I realized that the one night/morning I didn’t look was when my dream set of Paulson Vineyards got sold in two lots
- started to make myself feel better when I bought those yellow beauties (60 ES $20s) which may be the start of a long and expensive build

And now I’m deciding on whether to fulfill old desires like the Mardi Gras BCC’s (wanted the tourney set but the cash set for sale is making me itch) or fill out my Samurai collection, or take on slowly building new sets that peak my interest like ES or a TR King mixed set. Or maybe get a hold of David and make a custom set of KGB llamas in the small crown as an homage to the originals, the TR King group buy I missed, and donkey samples I just bought.

No matter what, it has been a pleasure during my short stint. Thank you all!

The Mardi gras cash set is awesome. Great price for a cali set

Welcome! Wow being a part of the Rounders TRK or Samurai Palace GB would have been awesome!

It does look like you’ve jumped back in pretty good, the ES$20s are nice! (I only have a sample set of those).

The samurai palace was the longest i ever held onto a non custom set. Damn that color variation. Three different blue ones with multiple edge spot variations....so titling for me

That was shocking to me when I saw several people trading to consolidate color variations. That is disappointing. Otherwise, a dark but well executed set.

Welcome, lovely introduction! All great chipsets you've mentioned!! Looking forward to seeing your chipping progress!
