I'm curious about what you would use for starting stacks & total chips to have on hand for various cash limits. Assume 10 players, a 100BB buy-in, and 3x rebuy limit per player (obviously not everyone will use all rebuys per night, and some won't use any). I've posted my initial thoughts on starting stacks.

Also, for the purposes of this thread, assume that the chips being used for any particular cash game are going to be specific to that cash game. In other words, if you were looking to buy/build a set of chips for each individual game and use them for nothing else but that game, how many would you need to have on hand as a minimum, and how many would you recommend having on hand.

.05/.10 ----- Minimum Chips ------ Recommended Chips
15 x 0.05
25 x 0.25
3 x 1.00
0 x 5.00

.10/.25 ----- Minimum Chips ------ Recommended Chips
20 x 0.05
16 x 0.25
20 x 1.00
0 x 5.00

.25/.50 ----- Minimum Chips ------ Recommended Chips
20 x 0.25
25 x 1.00
4 x 5.00
0 x 25.00

.50/1.00 ---- Minimum Chips ------ Recommended Chips
20 x 0.25
15 x 1.00
16 x 5.00
0 x 25.00

1/2 --------- Minimum Chips ------ Recommended Chips
20 x 1.00
26 x 5.00
2 x 25.00
0 x 100.00

I plan on adding a custom cash set to my inventory and will probable order 200-300 of everything .05/.25/1/5/20. I don't think I'll make a different hundo as I'll use the version made for the tourney set

To me, the BB is the workhorse bet size. The bare minimum is to have 10 BB bets per player; minimum I'd want is 15 BB per player, and preferred is 20 BB per player. More than that is even better, but 20 is a good goal for me. Personally, I prefer to get more colors in play, rather than more stacks of the workhorse, but people vary.

For the SB, I find a 10-handed table plays fine with as little as 4 SB per person. So in the $.50/$1 game, $2 in fracs (8 quarters or 4 halves) per person is plenty for the game to play fine. The SB bet is rarely the increment outside of the SB seat, and even there, the SB will often complete the bet (no change needed.)

So for your listed stakes, I'd say .05/.10 needs more nickels... I'd like 20 BB of nickels for each player, so 40 nickels each.
Your $.50 game doesn't need so many quarters - just eight per buy-in is fine.
And your dollar game and 1/2 game both need more singles. I'd like $20 in the $.50/1.00 game and $40 in the $1/$2 game.

As far as filling out the bank - like I said, I like more colors, so more denoms. A lot of other people prefer stacks and stacks of the workhorses. Depends on your preference (and budget.)
