I'm printing up a set of Abby99's Mixed Game Cards. The card for Mississippi Studugi states: "...action starts with the high poker hand showing. Spit card used if needed." I've never heard the term Spit Card before. I've searched all over, but I can't find an explanation.

Can y'all help a brother out?

I understand all the rules in the set except this one. Thanks in advance.

My complete guess is that it would be a community card for all to use if there aren't any more cards to distribute.

But, I've never heard it called that either.

Thanks so much, Marc Hedrick and Colquhoun!

My initial reading of it had me thinking the spit card was related to the high cards showing to determine first action. So I thought it might be some kind of variation instead of standard tiebreaker rules. I never played Spit in the Ocean. It makes sense now.
